The King of Heaven
Scripture Daniel 4:37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.
Observation: King Nebuchadnezzar said this after he said that he himself had created Babylon. It took a trial for him to open his eyes that God rules all and creates all. He realized that his pride was his sin and then God opened his eyes and humbled him. God still does the same and if we don’t humble ourselves before our time runs out here on earth we will have an eternity of pain as our prize.
Application: Pride has always been an issue with me. Even now the blessings God gives me each day I feel at times I deserve and there is nothing further from the truth. God reached out and saved me at least six different times from death. I still am not sure why He did and the only explanation is that He loves me that much. Whatever I do from now on must be credited to my heavenly Father, that He gets all of the glory and praise.
Prayer Father thank you for loving me so much. I know what I deserve, but You showed me mercy. Continue to use your servant to touch the lives of others in Your name. May all of the glory and honor be Yours.
