{"id":2951,"date":"2021-02-04T16:49:08","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T16:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gettingoverdepression.org\/?p=2951"},"modified":"2021-02-04T16:49:08","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T16:49:08","slug":"forgive-them-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gettingoverdepression.org\/index.php\/2021\/02\/04\/forgive-them-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Forgive Them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scripture: Luke 23 [34] Jesus said, &#8220;Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.&#8221; And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.<\/p>\n<p>Observation: The \u201cfor they do not what they do,\u201d is definitely me.  I don\u2019t think before I act and when I do think it is usually for my own desires and not what God wants from me.  Yet he forgives me and blesses me anyway, but it\u2019s time to live a life that glorifies Him and not me.  <\/p>\n<p>Application: It\u2019s time I don\u2019t take His forgiveness so lightly but honor him and thank him for his forgiveness.  My Lord\u2019s forgiveness came with a steep price, a price I couldn\u2019t pay.  I will never be able to repay, but I need to live a life pointing others to my Lord.<\/p>\n<p>Prayer: Dear Lord thank you for paying the price for me and forgiving this sinner.
