Scripture Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. <\/p>\n
Observation: I do have an evil heart. I think of all the terrible things that I would like done to our corrupt leaders and even to people that might disagree with me about some things. I try to stay close to God as I walk, but it doesn\u2019t take long until my heart goes astray and my thoughts become evil.<\/p>\n
Application: I need to depend on Jesus to keep my heart right with Him. As soon as my heart turns to sin, I need to reach out to my Lord for direction and to soften my heart. I know I can\u2019t do this by myself I\u2019ve tried most of my life. I know I need the Holy Spirit to guide my heart and thoughts to be useful to my God.<\/p>\n
Prayer Dear Lord have mercy on this hard-hearted child of yours. Please soften my heart to the people You surround me with and guide me today on what would please You.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
