Scripture James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. <\/p>\n
Observation: Our first commitment is to submit to God. We have no power within ourselves to fight the devil, only God is powerful enough to do that. When we are with God the devil doesn\u2019t see us, but only our heavenly Father and he knows he can\u2019t defeat Him so he flees from us. It\u2019s only when we are alone that the devil can get to us.<\/p>\n
Application: Spend my time with my Lord and submit to His will. Being in God\u2019s will is resisting the devil and that is my goal each day. It is so much easier to be in God\u2019s will if we take our life a day at a time and be focused on God. I need to take away any distractions and be focused on why God has me here at this time and this place.<\/p>\n
Prayer My Lord thank you for giving me another day. As I pray guide me with your agenda for me. May I stay close to you and be aware of what you are doing in my life and if the devil tries to get my attention at all that I will turn to you for guidance and protection.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
