How Do I Present Myself
Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:[15] Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
Observation: How do I present myself before my master. Unfortunately I have bad days and good, my service is inconsistent at best. Sunday I had an opportunity to serve and presented myself as an approved workman, but I was at my church home surrounded by Christians. Each day I have an opportunity to present myself to God in what I do, should I be ashamed and how do I handle myself in front of others? Do I use the word of God and it’s meaning during the course of the day around non-believers or do I save it for other Christians where it’s safe.
Application: Each moment I present myself before the Lord and I need to look at each person I come in contact as a representative of my Lord. When I talk is my words comforting or encouraging. Am I being patient as the Lord was patient with me, do people want to talk to me or they talk to me because they have to? I need to be welcoming to everyone God puts in my path so they can see the love of my father in me. I need to be ready with the word and use it to draw others to God.
Prayer: My Lord I present myself to you. May I be pleasing to you, that you would be proud of your servant and that you will be able to use me to fulfill the purpose you have created me for.
