God Puts It There
Scripture 2 Chron 9:23 And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
Observation: Do you ever wonder how you can do the things you do for example, maybe you’re a singer, an athlete, do a particular job well, can figure things our easily or other talents and gifts you might take for granted. God put those in you to be used for His glory. The Bible says He knitted us together while in our mother’s womb, putting us together, not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. Whatever we can do we can only do it because God desires us to do it. We shouldn’t take it for granted and we should use it for God’s glory each day.
Application: There are things in my life I seem to be able to do effortlessly and almost always with success. Cooking is a gift I have I can figure out how to make certain food items and God has gifted me with the ability to organize catered events with ease. These are things I use for my Lord’s glory and I need to do more. This Saturday my wife and I will be doing the food for a memorial service for one of the ladies in our church, then in a couple of more weeks we will be doing hot dogs at the beach and in a month from now a breakfast for a military marriage outreach at the church. All these things need to bring God glory and not me and I need to do more.
Prayer: My Lord I thank you for all you have put within me. May it always be used for your glory. Open doors for other things to be used such as my testimony you have blessed me with or other events that these gifts can serve others and please you. I love you Lord, use me until I come home.
