The Fathers Lack Courage

Scripture Jeremiah 47:3 At the noise of the stamping hooves of his strong horses,
At the rushing of his chariots,
At the rumbling of his wheels,
The fathers will not look back for their children,
Lacking courage,

Observation: This is a sad statement, but so true today that the fathers don’t look back for their children because of the lack of courage. Twenty-five percent of the homes in America are fatherless, causing damage to their children. Their lack of courage and selfishness is destroying this country. Juvenile imprisonments, sex trafficking, drugs and the list goes because fathers are not present in their lives.

Application: I was not a good father, even though I didn’t abandon them physically I wasn’t always there for them. I’ve made a commitment to donate to an organization that helps runaway children find a good home. This won’t make up for not being the father I should have been, but hopefully it will help a child that needs it.

Prayer My Lord forgive me for the lack of responsibility I took raising your children you entrusted me with. Show me how I can help others and make a difference in a child’s life.
