Do I Have Love?

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13: 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Observation: So am I patient, kind, proud and do I envy. According to these things I’m not loving. I know I’m very impatient, I’m not as proud as I use to be, but still have my prideful moments. I do spend too much time desiring things that are not mine. I’m kind but only on my terms. Yes I fall short of having a true love.

Application: Even though I fall short I’m better then I use to be, thanks be to God and I know with God’s help I can get much closer. I need to look at people and situations through God’s eyes and not my own. I want to have the heart of Jesus and have is loving spirit.

Prayer: My Lord I know with you all things are possible, even turning this unloving man into a loving one. So change my heart and give me your eyes so I may be the man you call me to be.
