Am I Lukewarm?
Scripture: Revelations 3: [16] So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Observation: I remember when I first became a Christian I was on fire and wanted to serve and make a difference for my Lord. Now I do a few things, but not with the same spirit and compassion I use to and not as often. Am I becoming lukewarm? I would like to answer no, but the answer is yes. I’ve become lazy and complacent in my service for God.
Application: I need to realize Jesus was never lukewarm for me and continues to work in my life. I need to get that fire back and not to do things because I feel I have to, but because that is what I desire to do. I need to give from my heart with the gratitude that God deserves from me.
Prayer: Dear Lord heat me up for you. May you be my first and last thought each day and fill my heart with your love. May I become so hot that people would wonder what drives me and then see it is your love. Help me Lord I can’t do this without your guidance.
