I’m Called to be Humble

Scripture Matthew 23:12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Observation: I’ve been walking with my Lord for a long time now and being humble is difficult for me at times. I want to be noticed and complimented for my efforts and that is not what God calls me to do. When I’m humble others can see the work of the Lord and He gets glorified, which is why I’m here.

Application: I’m nothing without my Lord and whenever I feel otherwise, I need to repent and humble myself before my King. People need to see me and think of my Lord, I need to be humble to those that God puts in my path and be a servant to all.

Prayer My Lord I’m here as your servant and as your servant only. Keep me humble before you and those you call me to serve. I freely give you this life as a living sacrifice may it be holy and pleasing to you.
