Scripture Ezekiel 14:13 “Son of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its supply of bread, send famine on it, and cut off man and beast from it.

Observation: America sure qualifies for a land that is unfaithful. God has been patient with us until now, but how much longer can His mercy go on. I try not to listen to the news, but by all reports it looks as if Satan is taking over this country and the people are not putting up much of a fight. This country has removed God so far from it and it’s hard to see Him through our unfaithfulness.

Application: I have no control over anyone but myself. I must stay faithful and do what I can to spread God’s word. I shouldn’t get involved in any gossip or pick a fight if someone disagrees with me, but do what honors God.

Prayer My Lord please forgive the evil that is happening in this country, a country You have blessed and protected throughout the years. May there be a revival to bring others to your name and use me as you desire/.

Scripture Ezekiel 13:3 Thus says the Lord GOD: “Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!

Observation: All the cults were created by foolish prophets, destroying people’s lives. Whether Mormon, Jehovah Witness or Islam, prophets have proclaimed false doctrine and lead people away from the true God. I wonder how many people these false prophets have robbed of having eternal life with their Father?

Application: Obey my God and do whatever He commands of me. To proclaim the One and Only God and then be an example of light I’ve been called to be. I’m called to be an example of love and with the Lord’s help I can succeed.

Prayer Dear Lord give me strength, wisdom and courage to fulfill my purpose You have given me. Direct my path today that I may be the light You call me to be.

Scripture Ezekiel 12:77 So I did as I was commanded. I brought out my belongings by day, as though going into captivity, and at evening I dug through the wall with my hand. I brought them out at twilight, and I bore them on my shoulder in their sight.

Observation: I feel God has called me to do things that I didn’t understand or make sense to me. I tried to reason if they were from God or just nonsense from me. God calls us to do things that may not make sense to us to see if we trust and love Him. He has made it clear to me that it was His direction, but I would doubt the things that I didn’t want to do. God deserves or obedience and love no matter what.

Application: I need to continue to seek God in all of my situations and pray for His direction. I’m here to obey His commands and do what He desires me to do and not what I want. This time that I spend on this earth and for all eternity should be devoted to my Lord and I need to obey with gladness that He has chosen me to do His will.

Prayer My Lord I humbly come before you and give you this life as a living sacrifice, may it be holy and pleasing to You. Command me today that I may know and do Your will.

Scripture Ezekiel 11:19 Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh,

Observation: That is what God did for me, He took my stony hard heart and turned it into a heart of flesh. Before Jesus came into my life, I didn’t care about anyone, but myself and everything I did was for me. He changed my heart and gave me a new spirit and purpose. My heart stills hardens from time to time, but God continues to soften it and helps me to see others through His eyes.

Application: I need to continue to go to my Father and humble myself before Him. If I have any wicked ways within me, I need to ask forgiveness and to soften my heart. God is the potter and I am the clay. I need to remain pliable so that He can form me into the vessel He desires.

Prayer My Lord please take this anger and wrath from me. Soften my heart always so that I may be the child You desire. I love you Dad help me succeed in Your name.

Scripture Ezekiel 10:4 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and paused over the threshold of the temple; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory.

Observation: One thing we don’t see in these wicked days is the glory of the Lord. I wonder if that is because we don’t look for it since we are so distracted by the evil that surrounds us. God is never changing and is omnipresent so He is all around, but how often do we look for Him. To see anything, we need to focus on it and to see God’s glory we must do the same.

Application: I need not only seek God’s glory, but to also glorify God. He needs to be the most important thing in my life and He needs to rule this life He has created. My job is to help others see God’s glory and that will give them Hope. I get to spend all eternity with my Lord and I need to grow close to Him now to build a better relationship. I need to seek His glory.

Prayer My Lord, you know me better than I know myself. I’m very easily distracted and my mind wanders constantly. Help me stay focused on You and the purpose You desire for me to fulfill while I’m here. May I glorify You to others.

Scripture Ezekiel 9:10 And as for Me also, My eye will neither spare, nor will I have pity, but I will recompense their deeds on their own head.”

Observation: Some people think that God is only love and would not harm, not even those who do evil. God is just and hates sin and that is what is happening in this world today. All the evil that people do will be on their heads unless they turn to Jesus for forgiveness. You can see the pride in these evil people and that Satan has them under his control.

Application: Do my best to get the word of God out. Help those that might be on the fence to receive Jesus as their Lord and savior. Go where the Holy Spirit leads me and do as I have been commanded. I have one job to do and that is to be obedient to my Lord.

Prayer Dear Lord please take the focus off of me and open my heart to do what You have called me to do. Continue to guide me on this quest and that I may complete it to your liking. Today may I do something that will bring a smile to your face.

Scripture Ezekiel 8:17 And He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence; then they have returned to provoke Me to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their nose.

Observation: You can look around and see the abominations that are being committed. How can a just God condone these actions? He can’t. We will pay the price for the violence, abortions, evil and disregard for our God. It’s not if, but when this will happen.

Application: I need to continue to try to reach people for God. To do whatever God calls me to do. I need to spend more personal time with Him and know what He desires. To continue to read the Word and journal to understand my place in this time.

Prayer My Lord, I know you can’t forgive the abominations that are being done against You. There are still your children here to do your will in our lives. Please guide us to glorify you and to bring others to you.
