Scripture Jeremiah 43:7 So they went to the land of Egypt, for they did not obey the voice of the LORD. And they went as far as Tahpanhes.

Observation: The Israelites continue to disobey God, much like today. America was founded on God’s word and we have strayed so far from it. We deserved to be judged for the wickedness that is in this land. We don’t only not obey the voice of God but we repel against it, doing the opposite of what He desires. Hopefully Satan’s time is short.

Application: To be obedient to my God is to show Him that I love Him and that is what He desires of all of us. To trust and obey is for our good. God doesn’t need any of us, it’s his will that we are here and he loves us, but it must also break his heart to see how much disobedience there is and how we hurt each other. I need to continue on my calling to offer prayer and tell them of the love of the Father.

Prayer My Lord, I thank you for all the blessings You have given me and I look forward to coming home and be with you forever. Give me strength, wisdom and guidance to do your will and to fulfill the purpose you have created me for.

Scripture Jeremiah 42:6 Whether it is pleasing or displeasing, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God to whom we send you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.”

Observation: When you do God’s will it’s not always pleasing if it was people would do it for that reason and not to glorify God. God’s will can be hard and at times make no sense to us, but His ways are higher than ours. This short time we spend on this earth is a test. Are we going to receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior and are we going to obey our God? These decisions have eternal consequences where we are going to spend eternity and what rewards we will receive when we get to heaven.

Application: I need to obey my Heavenly Father not for position in eternity, but because He deserves it. I owe God everything my life, my love, my obedience and my time. I need to give Him those things out of gratitude and worship. God owes me nothing and I owe Him everything and doing His will is the most important thing I can do.

Prayer My Lord I humbly come before You and ask what You desire of me. That You would guide me this day to do Your will. My desire is to please You may the day not end until I bring a smile to your face.

Scripture Jeremiah 41:13 So it was, when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, that they were glad.

Observation: Now God’s children and others are being held captives by this evil government. We have been restricted of worship, restricted of what we are allowed to do and so many live in fear. We are waiting to be set free from this bondage either a political leader that leads by God’s way or Jesus himself would come and bring us all home.

Application: I need to be ready when that time comes and do whatever will honor God at that time. To worship God for His provisions. Mercy, grace and love, to trust in Him through this trying time. I need to continue to do what God is calling me to do to pray for others and spread His word.

Prayer My Lord please rescue us from the tyranny that is happening to us now. Please set us free to worship You and continue to live a life that would be pleasing to you. I will rejoice the day You return to bring us home.

Scripture Jeremiah 40:3 Now the LORD has brought it, and has done just as He said. Because you people have sinned against the LORD, and not obeyed His voice, therefore this thing has come upon you.

Observation: This country has definitely sinned against God. We say God bless America, but why should He. What is happening in the world, evil is taking over and we are not stopping it. Satan isn’t even trying to hide his plans, because he knows there is nothing, we can do about it. If we don’t call on God and repent from our evil ways there is no hope for us. We are Americans, but more importantly we are children of God and we need to act like it and please our Heavenly Father.

Application: My Heart is so full of hatred and all I want is to get back at those that are destroying us. It’s not my fight, only God can turn the tides. I’m called to be an obedient servant and God has called me to love, not hate. Each day I need to do what I can and pray for those that God puts in my path and trust in Him.

Prayer Lord help me please, be what You desire me to be. My heart is full of anger, please Lord calm my spirit. That I will trust in you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding, but in everything acknowledge You and You will make my path straight.

Scripture Jeremiah 39:18 For I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword; but your life shall be as a prize to you, because you have put your trust in Me,” says the LORD.’”

Observation: What a great saying that my life would be a prize for me. I never looked at it that way that my life is a prize since I put my trust in Him. I can see it now when I gave my life to Christ and put my trust in Him my life has been totally different. Where all I could think of was ending my life, God came and gave me a purpose and reason to cherish the life that He gave me. Before all I wanted was anybody’s life but mine, but now I don’t want to be any one else but me.

Application: To use this life that God has blessed me with to honor Him. To live the best, I can putting God first and look at my life as the gift God has given me. What is great about this prize that after my time here on this earth I get to have it for all of eternity with the giver of my gift.

Prayer Lord guide me through the remaining portion of this life that I will trust You with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding put in all of my ways acknowledge You and that you will make my paths straight.

Scripture Jeremiah 38:20 But Jeremiah said, “They shall not deliver you. Please, obey the voice of the LORD which I speak to you. So it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.

Observation: That is what God is calling all of His children to do, is obey His voice. He has made it clear in His word what we are called to do. If we obey it will go well with us. This doesn’t mean we won’t have trials, but we will be able to go through them with Him. We are called to love God with all our heart, mind and soul and to do that we must be obedient to Him.

Application: I need to be obedient in all I do, not just what is convenient at the time or what I feel like doing. God has made it clear on how I’m to act, what I’m to do and how to treat others. I need to humble myself and put my Lord’s desire first in my life and then the needs of others.

Prayer My Lord use your servant today. Speak to my heart and tell me what You would like. Speak to me and guide me and put me back on the path if I stray. I’m your bond servant command me.

Scripture Jeremiah 37:3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “Pray now to the LORD our God for us.”

Observation: That is what I hear every day to pray to the Lord for our country and it needs prayer, but is it worthy to be prayed for. Our country is going to the enemy and we remove God in everything we do and then we ask Him to bless us. My prayer is that He would have mercy and save this country because of the righteous that dwell here. Along with prayer we as His children need to take action and glorify Him. We can’t be that silent majority any longer but be willing to fight for our beliefs.

Application: I need to do my part and glorify God in any way I can. I can’t hide any longer in our country, but must speak out and direct others to God. My top priority is to do God’s will in fulfilling the purpose He has created me for. I need to be a light and not a dim glow.

Prayer My Lord I need strength and wisdom to accomplish what You wish. I’m afraid and need your strength and boldness to be that light You call me to be. My only fear should be not to do what You created me to do.
