No Lies

Scripture: Revelations 14: [5] No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.

Observation: Before Christ it seemed all I did was lie. Even when it didn’t matter I choose to lie. I lied to get out of trouble, to make myself appear better then I was, to hurt others and it truly the language of the devil. After Christ renewed my mind I lied a lot less, but still find myself lying for the dumbest reasons, usually trying not to take the blame for something I did.

Application: Make it a point to never lie, and if I catch myself, admit it right away and make it right. Realize every time I do lie it hurts God and honors Satan. I’m here to live a life honoring God and if I lie it dishonors Him.

Prayer: Dear Lord I thank you for another day to honor you. I need your strength and heart to always be truthful for You are the truth, the way and the life.

The World Follows the Beast

Scripture: Revelations 13: [3] One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.

Observation: I’ve been watching the news and some of the television shows and it appears as though the world is following the beast. Murder, greed, rape, deception and hate in this world, we must be coming close to the end.

Application: I can’t conform to the world, I need to be the opposite, generosity, love and truth should show through my life. I’m here for a purpose and it’s to help lead people away from this horrible life and lead them to Christ.

Prayer: My Lord show me the part you want me to play in this world to counter the evil around me. Give me knowledge, strength to follow your love.

God’s Offspring

Scripture: Revelations 12: [17] Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring–those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Observation: I strive to be God’s offspring, to obey His commandments and to hold to the testimony of Jesus. What an honor to be a child of God, but with the privileges I have some responsibilities. To obey my loving Father and to hold on and tell others of the testimony of my savior.

Application: Realize my position in this world as a child and servant of the most high God. Represent my Father and my Lord to others. Share His love through my actions to those God surrounds me with.

Prayer: Dear Father teach this child your ways and desires. May you look down on me and be proud.

Fall on My Face

Scripture: Revelations 11: 16 And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God,

Observation: Every day I should start by falling on my face before God and worship Him. Giving Him all the glory and praise, which He deserves. Offering my life as a living sacrifice. Drawing near to Him and not to stop at that, but the whole day, each day staying in that posture of worship. Taking time to tell God what He means to me.

Application: Take time during the course of the day to praise God. Thank Him for all He is and live each day in glory to Him.

Prayer: My Lord you are deserving of all I am and you deserve all the glory, honor and praise from me. May I live this day in honor to you.

Who Do I Serve?

Scripture: Acts 27: [23] Last night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood beside me

Observation: I belong to God and He should be the one I serve, but do I? Every morning I wake up and pray and ask Him how I might serve and please Him that day, but it doesn’t take long before I’m doing my own thing. This morning first thing I had a call from my boss which turned my stomach and turned my thoughts to anger and even now I can’t let it go. If I truly belonged to God and served Him I would trust Him and not be in the state I’m in now.

Application: To belong and serve I must trust God with everything and know He is in charge. Every action and word should show others I belong to my God, that is the way to serve Him.

Prayer: Dear Lord take charge of this servant and open my eyes to all you desire of me. May I serve you this day and others notice who I belong to.

Good is from God

Scripture: 3 John 1:11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

Observation: I want and try to do what is good. I find myself however in times of wandering, thinking what is evil. Knowing I belong to God helps prevent me from doing the evil things I think at times. I want to do more than imitate what is good, I want that to be my only desire to be and do good. I want good to be my nature not my choice.

Application: To study more of the Bible to know this man God calls me to be. To shun immediately any evil, judgmental or lustful thoughts and focus on God. To spend the rest of this life becoming the man God calls me to be.

Prayer: Dear Lord I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Strengthen me Lord to be good and righteous in Your eyes.

The Seal of God

Scripture: Revelations 9: [4] They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

Observation: I have the seal of God because of Jesus. Satan may tempt me but is limited by God what he can do to me. I’m under God’s protection.

Application: I need to live a life knowing I’m protected by God. To trust in Him in all situations, knowing He is with me. To serve my master and do what I’m called to do. Nothing can harm me, I’m sealed by God.

Prayer: Dear Lord thank you for your love and protection. Dear Jesus thank you for sealing me as yours. I will never be worthy, but show me today how to show others that I’m sealed in your love.
