Scripture: Acts 5:[42] Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

Observation: That is was God has called all believers to do, proclaim the good news of Jesus and eternal life with Him and the Father. So how am I doing as a believer? The apostle went each day, not just when they felt like it. They dedicated their life honoring God in His command. Compared to the apostle I do nothing.

Application: I need to proclaim His name each day and spread the word of salvation. God calls me to live a life honoring Him. Let people see the love of God in my life and may my love for God shine through to others.

Prayer: Dear God guide me today and put the words in my mouth to bring others nearer to you. May I increase your talents Lord that I may be pleasing to you and hear those words, “well done good and faithful servant.”

Scripture: Acts 4:31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Observation: To speak the Word of God boldly can only be done with the power of the Holy Spirit. I need the help of the Holy Spirit to live my life as it was designed to be lived by God. I need the holy Sprit’s guidance, strength and courage to live a life honoring to God.

Application: To continue to pray for the filling of the Holy Spirit to guide me through this life. To put me in situations that will honor God and have faith that the Holy Spirit will work through me to fulfill His purpose.

Prayer: Dear Father fill me with the Holy Spirit and Baptize me with Him so that I may speak boldly for you and fulfill the purpose you have created me for.

Scripture: Acts 3:[16] By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.

Observation: Jesus also healed me, even though my faith was weak he reached out and strengthened me. Jesus has been with me guiding me and giving me hope and my life purpose. Only through my Lord can I live this life.

Application: Depend upon Jesus and ask for faith, the kind of faith that I may be the miracle God calls me to be. Share with others the miracle of Jesus so they can also experience the healing of my Lord.

Prayer: Dear Lord increase my faith that I may do the things you call me to do. Show me how to reach out to others in your name and give me the courage to proclaim you as Lord and Savior. I love you Lord and am grateful for all you have done for me.

Scripture: Acts 2:28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.’

Observation: God is truly guiding me as only He can. He shows me the purpose of my life and the way I should live in glory to Him. When I am in His will then I get to experience His joy.

Application: I need everyday to seek God’s guidance in my life and stay on the path He has chosen for me. To live a life that would please Him so that I may draw nearer to him.

Prayer: Dear Lord continue to guide your servant so that I may stay on the path you have chosen for me. May I experience the joy of being your child.

Scripture: Acts 1:[8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Observation: Since I’ve been saved the Holy Spirit has been working in my life. He has given me power to do things I could never had done on my own, He has guided my life and has given me courage and insight on what to do, He has given me power to use the testimony given to me and to be able to witness to other.

Application: Depend on the Holy Spirit and don’t try to do things in my own power, but the power of God. Trust in the Holy Spirit and put myself out there to accomplish things for God. Ask God for the filling of the Holy Spirit and then listen to Him.

Prayer: Dear Lord fill and baptize me in the Holy Spirit. Take charge of this life so that it may honor you. Guide me to be the man you call me to be and may I be pleasing in your sight.

Scripture: John 21 16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me?”
He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

Observation: How much do I love my Lord? To love someone is to obey them, to put them first, do I do that? Not often enough. God has given me commands and a specific way He wants me to live my life and I fall short all the time, if He truly was first in my life this wouldn’t happen.

Application: To love God with all my heart, mind and soul. To put his desires above all things and live the life He calls me to live. To serve Him wholeheartedly, thinking about him throughout the day.

Prayer: Dear Lord show me how to love you the way you deserve to be loved. Place on my heart the things that would show you how much I love you and make it obvious to others that you are my main love.

Scripture: John 20:[27] Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

Observation: I hear God telling me the same thing, “stop doubting and believe.” I live my life doubting what God can do and yet he continues doing miracles, protecting and blessing me. I worry each day about what I’m going to do and what might happen, doubting God wants to help me.

Application: To stop doubting and believe and trust in my Lord. He has proven his love over and over again. Draw nearer to him and place my life in His hands and commit my life to him, laying it down as a living sacrifice.

Prayer: Dear Lord increase my faith and draw me near to you. You are worthy of all I am and have may it be used to glorify you.
