Scripture Jeremiah 50:34 Their Redeemer is strong;
The LORD of hosts is His name.
He will thoroughly plead their case,
That He may give rest to the land,
And disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

Observation: With everything that is happening the people in America feel lost. There doesn’t seem to be anything we can do and our leaders don’t care. There is someone much stronger than what happens in this world and any leader. Jesus is our redeemer and Lord of hosts. Nothing that is happening now is of any surprise to Him and He is waiting for us to call on Him for justice. He has always been faithful and will give His children justice, whether here and now or when we get home.

Application: Not to get to involved in the things of this world, but to trust in the Lord with all of my heart and mind. To be an encouragement to others instead of fueling the flames of this destructive world. Continue to pray and seek God.

Prayer My Lord this world is falling apart and it seems as if Satan is having his way. I know your unfailing love and I realize we don’t deserve it. Strengthen your children and show us the way.

Scripture Jeremiah 49:18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah
And their neighbors,” says the LORD,
“No one shall remain there,
Nor shall a son of man dwell in it.

Observation: I look around and we have become so corrupt in this country. We kill our children in abortion, we allow men to rape our children and sell them for sex, we have taken God’s morality and become immoral, we are sexually immoral, greedy and the list goes on. How could Sodom and Gomorrah have been any worse than this?

Application: I need to do my part and be the example God has called me to be, to be more like Jesus. I need to work on this hate and anger I have and to spread God’s love to others. I need to help encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ to do the same. I only have control of my own actions and I need to be the best I can be for my Lord.

Prayer God, I love you and want to please you. I’m lost most of the time and I need you to direct me in what You desire of me. Guide me today to be what you want me to be.

Scripture Jeremiah 48:26 “Make him drunk,
Because he exalted himself against the LORD.
Moab shall wallow in his vomit,
And he shall also be in derision.

Observation: So many of our leaders are exalting themselves against God. I can’t believe there was a worse time in history than what we are experiencing now. The government has closed the churches, trying to remove God’s name from our culture, putting evil leaders in place, murdering children and making this country a refuse to the Lord. We will be judged as a nation and if God’s children don’t do something soon to turn the tides, we also can be called accountable for this mess.

Application: I need to stand strong and do what God has called me to do. To do my part in electing godly people to office and to share my faith with others and to help others when I can. It may not be much, but what if everyone of God’s children did the same.

Prayer My Lord I ask forgiveness for the evil we do in this land that You have blessed us with. Stir the hearts of your children that there would be a revival in this country, putting You as our leader. We need you more than ever, please don’t forsake us.

Scripture Jeremiah 47:3 At the noise of the stamping hooves of his strong horses,
At the rushing of his chariots,
At the rumbling of his wheels,
The fathers will not look back for their children,
Lacking courage,

Observation: This is a sad statement, but so true today that the fathers don’t look back for their children because of the lack of courage. Twenty-five percent of the homes in America are fatherless, causing damage to their children. Their lack of courage and selfishness is destroying this country. Juvenile imprisonments, sex trafficking, drugs and the list goes because fathers are not present in their lives.

Application: I was not a good father, even though I didn’t abandon them physically I wasn’t always there for them. I’ve made a commitment to donate to an organization that helps runaway children find a good home. This won’t make up for not being the father I should have been, but hopefully it will help a child that needs it.

Prayer My Lord forgive me for the lack of responsibility I took raising your children you entrusted me with. Show me how I can help others and make a difference in a child’s life.

Scripture Jeremiah 46:28 Do not fear, O Jacob My servant,” says the LORD,
“For I am with you;
For I will make a complete end of all the nations
To which I have driven you,
But I will not make a complete end of you.
I will rightly correct you,
For I will not leave you wholly unpunished.”

Observation: This scripture is for Israel, but it fits today. Even the Christians in America are weak and give in easily to this world. We deserve to be punished for our lack of faith and the way we give into evil. We need to get back to Jesus, His word and commands and stop looking at this place as home. Our life only exists to honor God and we are doing a poor job of it. We need to receive our punishment and learn from it, knowing God’s mercy is unending and the He will save us.

Application: I need to do a better job of being a follower of Christ. I need to trust in my Lord in every situation and do as He commands me. I deserve any correction He desires to give me and I need to ask to understand how I might be better.

Prayer My Lord I get so involved in this evil place and in myself. I start the day with you but it doesn’t take much time until I drift away. Help me stay focused on you each day and be the man You called me to be.

Scripture Jeremiah 45:5 And do you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I will bring adversity on all flesh,” says the LORD. “But I will give your life to you as a prize in all places, wherever you go.

Observation: That is one of the biggest problems we want great things for ourselves. Our focus is on us and what we want, we don’t care for the needs of others if it interferes with taking away from our desires.

Application: I need to look for the needs of others above myself and stop spending most of my time seeking what I want. My desire should be to do God’s will and not to accumulate stuff that will only last for awhile. I have a short time here and God has blessed me above anything I deserve and I need to use it to glorify Him.

Prayer My Lord I know that I’m selfish and think about myself most of the time and I need you to reach down and open my heart to You and to others. Take this selfishness away and give me a generous heart for you.

Scripture Jeremiah 44:23 Because you have burned incense and because you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD or walked in His law, in His statutes or in His testimonies, therefore this calamity has happened to you, as at this day.”

Observation: This country has truly sinned against the Lord and we deserve His judgement. We wonder why things are so bad here lately, but I believe it’s because we have deserted God’s laws and will. Our churches are afraid to open we are commanded to wear masks; laws are being made that are against what God desires and we are removing Him from this country and it appears as if He is leaving. We have become a nation of evil and Satan is loving it.

Application: There is very little I can do to change the direction this country is taking. I need to do my small part, voting, signing recall petitions and to stand up for God’s laws. God has given me a ministry to pray for others along the beach and that is what I need to focus on now and be obedient on anything else He gives me to do.

Prayer Lord as I go out today to be with others, put those in my path that need to hear from you. May they focus on You before they go back into this evil world. Please Lord strengthens your servant’s faith and use me to glorify You.
