I Need to Heat Up
Scripture: Revelations 3: [16] So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Observation: That is what I am lukewarm. Sometimes I’m hot but most of the time I’m cold and indifferent. So combining the two I’m lukewarm. Yesterday and last Wednesday God gave me an opportunity to warm up by serving at the fallfest and helping out at Pastor Mike’s daughter’s wedding. Yet in between I was rude to God’s children, lazy and did mostly what I wanted. God deserves much more from this life that He gave me.
Application: I should be on fire for my Lord, He’s on fire for me. There is so much more I can do and one thing I can stop doing is complaining. It seems when I do something for my Lord I want to be recognized by others instead in quiet for my Lord. I need to get off my lazy butt and get busy serving in God’s name and heat up this life He has blessed me with.
Prayer: Dear Lord please forgive me for being lukewarm. I don’t blame you for spitting me out of your mouth, but I pray you forgive me and help me live this life in a way that with Glorify your name. Show me how to be the servant you deserve me to be and be on fire for you.
