Scripture Isaiah 65:17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.

Observation: I never felt as if I belonged here, I just felt out of place and maybe that’s because I was created for someplace else. This earth must be coming close to the end, I don’t understand why God continues to let it go on, but it’s not mine to understand the mind of God. How exciting though a new heavens and a new earth with no pain or sorrow to live in love for all eternity with my brothers and sisters.

Application: God still has me here for a reason and I need to seek that reason through reading His word and in prayer. I need to reach out to as many people as I can to tell them about a new home that was created just for them. I need to live a life that is loving and honorable so people would listen, knowing that I’m concerned for them. Trust in the Holy Spirit, when the opportunity arises that He will speak the words that they need to hear.

Prayer Dear Lord I can’t wait to get home and be with You forever. Touch my heart and open my eyes to what You desire of me as long as I’m here. I know You love your children and how you desire to give good gifts, give me the wisdom to know how to fulfill the purpose You have for me.

Scripture Isaiah 64:2 As fire burns brushwood,
As fire causes water to boil—
To make Your name known to Your adversaries,
That the nations may tremble at Your presence!

Observation: The trouble today is that we don’t fear God and we do whatever it is we feel like doing. This generation is getting even worse as we continue to move away from God and closer to evil. I wish God would do something so great that there would be no other explanation, but that His power did it and open the eyes of those who don’t believe. We have become worse than in the days of Noah. Jesus warned us of these days.

Application: My only control I have is what I’m going to do and stand for. I choose to fear God and obey and to do the best I can to tell that message to others. My sphere of influence is small, but I need to do what is right in honoring God, no matter what the cost. To live in Christ and to die is gain.

Prayer My Lord I can’t imagine any other time in history being any worse than what I see now. We need You so desperately we can’t survive this without You. I pray we are all close to coming home and that any day we may hear that trumpet, but may your children stay busy spreading the gospel until You come.

Scripture Isaiah 63:8 For He said, “Surely they are My people,
Children who will not lie.”
So He became their Savior.

Observation: Initially this was for Israel, but I feel it is referring to all that have received Jesus as Lord and Savior. We are God’s children, born again in the blood of Jesus our Savior. As children we still have a responsibility to be obedient to our Father and we are called to love Him, not out of obligation, but for what He has done for us and for who He is.

Application: My focus lately has only been of the things in this world. I’m full of hate and confusion and want vengeance for those who are harming us. That is not how a good child would act. If a child has a problem and needs guidance they would run to their father for advice and comfort. Time is getting shorter and there are so many that need to hear about the Father and if I’m not focused on Him some people might not be introduced to Him..

Prayer Dear Father forgive me for being a spoiled child and wanting my own way. Teach me what You desire of me and fill me with the Holy Spirit so that I may accomplish all You have planned for me. I love you, Dad.

Scripture Isaiah 62:5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So shall your sons marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
So shall your God rejoice over you.

Observation: God is declaring His love for us and not a casual love, but the love of a bridegroom for his bride. This is the deepest love when a man decides to spend the rest of his life with the woman that he loves. God referred to marriage as two becoming one flesh. God is calling us to be one in Him and rejoices of that commitment.

Application: I asked Christ into my life not only to be there but to rule over me. I want Him to rejoice in the life I choose to live with Him. Everything in this earth will go away except my God who I get to be with forever.

Prayer My Lord and my love. I’m having such a difficult time here with all that is going on. Satan has taken control of this world it seems and I don’t know what to do. Help me finish this race that you will rejoice that I am yours.

Scripture Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Observation: I spend so much time worrying and thinking of myself that I don’t spend time in rejoicing in my Lord. God has given me everything that I need and I have the promise of salvation and eternal life. There is nothing on this earth that comes close to what my Lord as blessed me with, so why am I not in a state of rejoicing?

Application: My focus needs to be on my Lord. Everything that I have and that I am is a gift from God. My life should be a gift back to God as I rejoice and tell others of His greatness. I am a blessed man and should be a humble spokesman for my God as I rejoice and show Him my gratitude every day.

Prayer My Lord thank you for making me, me. You have gifted me and blessed me and I have nothing left to do but rejoice in your Holy Name. I love you, help me finish well.

Scripture Isaiah 60:20 Your sun shall no longer go down,
Nor shall your moon withdraw itself;
For the LORD will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended.

Observation: This verse is talking of heaven. This life will pass away and if you have received Jesus as Lord and Savior your new life will begin. We get to spend eternity on the new earth where our God will be our light and all our mourning, pain and suffering will be no more. I can’t wait to go home.

Application: Jesus talked a lot about Heaven and how unbelievably wonderful it will be. He also gave us the command to preach the gospel so that others will hear and may receive His eternal gift. Things here on earth have become so insane we are shut up in our homes and told to stay away from others, but God has called me to do whatever He asks to help others find the way and I need to obey.

Prayer My God fill me with the Holy Spirit and direct my footsteps. Lead me to those you want me to talk to, have me do whatever You ask, because you are worthy of all of my love, all my praise and all of my obedience.

Scripture Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will not hear.

Observation: Our sins have separated us from God and He can’t hear our plea. Jesus came so that God, the Father and us can be united. Jesus took my sins and gave me a pathway to God. I’m united to my Lord because of Jesus love for me.

Application: Jesus is our only help in this fallen world. God has given me an assignment to reach out and tell those that He surrounds me with about the hope of eternal life. I need to seek God for wisdom on how He wants me to use what He has blessed me with for His glory.

Prayer Dear Jesus thank you for your sacrifice and love. I’m heading home because of You and can’t wait to tell you face to face how much I love You.
