Scripture Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Observation: As a man I continue to try things that I can’t succeed in and then fail. I have times when God calls me to do something and I know that I’m not doing it alone. God accompanies me each day on my walks on the strand and He is the one that puts people in my path and then He speaks to them through the Holy Spirit. There is nothing God can’t do or do through me.

Application: I need to have God guide me on this journey I’m on. I need to be following His directions and make sure I don’t go anywhere without Him. When it appears I succeeded in something make sure others know that it was God who deserves all of the credit.

Prayer Dear Lord use me to accomplish whatever You desire. Help me get out of my own way and be in your presence. Show me how to give You all of the glory and honor. Please use me each day to fulfill the purpose I was created for.

Scripture Matthew 18:6 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Observation: I’m living in the worst time I can remember. Children are being abused, aborted, traded for sex and have no chance for a good life. Children are sold as merchandise to those that have the money to pay for them. As terrible as these people are that are selling these children the ones that pay for this immorality are worst, because if there was no one that wanted this perversion there would be no one to sell it. Jesus must weep each day to see what is happening to His children.

Application: I donate money to groups that help children trapped in sex trafficking. I should be looking for ways to donate my time to help support these groups and be aware of my surroundings to see if there is anyone abusing God’s children.

Prayer My Lord I can only imagine how this must break your heart. Open doors for me to help in any way You desire of me. May those that are doing this be punished and the children set free to live a life in glory and honor to You.

Scripture Matthew 17:20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Observation: It’s obvious my faith isn’t as big as a mustard seed or I would be moving mountains. There is no reason I shouldn’t have greater faith with all that God has done for me. He is always there guiding me through this life and yet I doubt at times. If only my faith was greater, I would be able to do greater things for my Lord.

Application: I need to keep in my heart without faith I can’t please God and that is my goal to please Him. He has given me this opportunity to serve Him with the gifts He has given me and I need to stand in faith to get them done.

Prayer My Lord please increase my faith that I may glorify You. I’m here as your servant, speak into my life and guide me today. Take any doubt from my mind and guide me through this sinful world.

Scripture Matthew 16:12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Observation: There is so much false doctrine in this world. Islam, Jehovah Witness, Mormon, Buddha and more. If people fall into these false religions they will miss being in heaven and spend eternity in hell. There are also false teachers for Christianity preaching a different gospel then what our Lord gave us. We need to stay true to God’s word.

Application: I need to stay true to God’s word and do what I can to tell others the truth. God wants none to perish, but so many are going to. I need to be an example of Jesus love and be compassion to others. Do what God calls me to do each day and be a blessing to someone that He puts in my path.

Prayer My Lord I know that You are the truth and the light and there is no other way to heaven except through You. Use me each day to be that beacon of light that will guide others to You.

Scripture Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

Observation: I do have an evil heart. I think of all the terrible things that I would like done to our corrupt leaders and even to people that might disagree with me about some things. I try to stay close to God as I walk, but it doesn’t take long until my heart goes astray and my thoughts become evil.

Application: I need to depend on Jesus to keep my heart right with Him. As soon as my heart turns to sin, I need to reach out to my Lord for direction and to soften my heart. I know I can’t do this by myself I’ve tried most of my life. I know I need the Holy Spirit to guide my heart and thoughts to be useful to my God.

Prayer Dear Lord have mercy on this hard-hearted child of yours. Please soften my heart to the people You surround me with and guide me today on what would please You.

Scripture Matthew 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Observation: I can’t count the number of times Jesus must have caught me because of my lack of faith. I can look back on my life and see his touch on my life, but no matter how many times He saves me I still lack the faith that I need.

Application: I need to remember without faith it’s impossible to please God and that is something I want to do above everything. This life needs to glorify my Lord and I can only do it through faith in Him. I need to step out boldly in whatever God calls me to do without hesitation knowing that the Holy Spirit will guide me.

Prayer My Lord increase my faith that I will glorify You. Guide me today to be an instrument that You can use to glorify Your name. I love you Lord and I give you this life as a living sacrifice.

Scripture Matthew 13:23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Observation: I’m called to plant seeds in the field God gives me. I’m called to be more like Jesus, to do God’s will and to help others find the way. My job is not to choose where to plant these seeds or harvest the group, but go where God directs me and be obedient to what He calls me to do.

Application: I need to continue to be obedient to my Lord and be the man that will please Him. I need to pray that any seed I plant will fall on good soil, but I’m only responsible for the distribution of the seed. I need to make sure that I represent my Lord to the best of my ability and not to anything contradictory of His word.

Prayer My Lord You have allowed me to meet so many people over the last 6 months and pray with them. Some I got to share your word with and comfort in their times of trouble. Give me strength, knowledge and wisdom to continue to be used by you.
