Saving Through Example

Scripture: 1Tmothy 4: [16] Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Observation: I must first set an example of how we are to live a Christian life. I can’t say one thing and do another and expect people to take me seriously. If I tell others the Bible says to love one another and I don’t, people will think I’m a hypocrite. So each day I need God’s strength to persevere to be the Christian God calls me to be.

Application: I need to stop looking in the future and worrying. I need to take each day at a time and live the life God calls me to be. I need to stop beating myself up when I fail but learn how to be better the next time. I need to represent my Lord so I can touch the lives of others so they will be saved.

Prayer: Dear Lord each day I fall so short of being the man that would honor you. I need you to guide me to be the example to others so they may be drawn nearer to you. I know you want none to perish help me touch lives by the way I live mine each day.
