Scripture Isaiah 34:16 “Search from the book of the LORD, and read:
Not one of these shall fail;
Not one shall lack her mate.
For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.

Observation: If we want to know what is about to happen or what we are called to do we need to search the Book of the Lord. Most prophesies have already happened what hasn’t happened yet will be coming soon. God has given us His word so we won’t be lost in this world and when the world tries to engulf us with troubles, we need to reach for His word to find direction and comfort.

Application: I read His word each day but after I put my bible down, I forget what I just read. I need to do more than just read, I need to practice what God is teaching me and listen for His direction. I need to study more and understand.

Prayer My Lord, I thank you for Your word and I ask that you guide me through the pages opening my eyes to what you want me to learn. Help me be the best servant I can be for you.

Scripture Isaiah 33:1 Woe to you who plunder, though you have not been plundered;
And you who deal treacherously, though they have not dealt treacherously with you!
When you cease plundering,
You will be plundered;
When you make an end of dealing treacherously,
They will deal treacherously with you.

Observation: So much is happening and I feel so helpless and angry. It feels the government and those with lots of money are taking charge, leaving us helpless. Maybe this is what needs to happen so that we may all call on the Lord and let Him distribute the judgement He knows is right.

Application: I need to keep my opinions to myself unless it is from God’s word. I’m here as an ambassador to lead others to Christ and not the one that is supposed to be fighting. I need to seek God every day and every moment to make sure I’m doing what He calls me to do

Prayer My Lord I’m struggling with everything that is happening around me. Open my heart to what it is I’m to do. I’m your servant and I love You with all of my Heart.

Scripture Isaiah 32:17 The work of righteousness will be peace,
And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.

Observation: I think I’m righteous, but that’s not the truth. My focus is not on peace but revenge and anger. I see the bad news and I want those that are causing it to pay for it. I have no control of what happens, only what I do.

Application: I need to be more aware of my thoughts and actions and to calm down and ask God for guidance. If I can live my life in righteousness and live in peace maybe others will see it and that will encourage them, but no matter what I will be honoring to my Lord.

Prayer My Lord help me live a life that pleases You. I’m here as your ambassador show me how to do my job to the best of my abilities and gifts You have blessed me with.

Scripture Isaiah 31:2Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster,
And will not call back His words,
But will arise against the house of evildoers,
And against the help of those who work iniquity.

Observation: All I can see lately is all the bad things that are happening and how little control I have of changing anything. It’s not supposed to be in my control, but God’s. He knows what is happening and who is doing evil and He alone will judge.

Application: I need to let go of how I’m feeling and give it to my Lord. This has never been my battle and I need to know it’s God’s and He is wise and just.

Prayer My Lord forgive me for not trusting in You. Please guide me and when I see the evil in this world that I will turn to You, knowing you have everything in control.

Scripture Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left.

Observation: I don’t listen to God very often and I just go where I think I should go and do what I feel I should do. I’m not patient and do things in a hurry instead of waiting to make sure it is the right thing to do and the right time to do it. I pray to God each day but don’t listen for His direction and I have so many thoughts I couldn’t hear Him if He spoke to me.

Application: I need to stop and pray and take the time to listen and hear from my Lord. He has the plan, not me. If it’s something I feel I need to do right away. It’s probably not anything I should be doing at all. What I do is not for this world. but for eternity and my Lord.

Prayer My Lord I beg of You, please speak to your servant and command me on what it is You want of me. Help me hear your voice and be guided each day with Your love.

Scripture Isaiah 29:13 Therefore the Lord said:
“Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths
And honor Me with their lips,
But have removed their hearts far from Me,
And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,

Observation: I noticed with everything going on that all we do is speak of God, but don’t draw closer to Him. Our churches are closed and it doesn’t appear that any of them are trying to open in fear of what the government might do. We fear everything, but God and wonder why God doesn’t appear to be working on our behalf, but scripture tells us if we move closer to God, He will move closer to us. We need to make the first move.

Application: I need to do more then read my bible and pray in the morning I must show God my heart for Him. I also need to help others see God with their heart and not to fear this outside world, but to fear the One that created us and do what He commands.

Prayer: My Lord help me understand what You desire of me, that I will be obedient and do what You call me to do. I’m your servant and I love you with all of my heart.

Scripture Isaiah 28:15 Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
And with Sheol we are in agreement.
When the overflowing scourge passes through,
It will not come to us,
For we have made lies our refuge,
And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.”

Observation: It’s as if Isaiah is talking to our government today. So many of our leaders it appears have made a pact with the devil and feel they are untouchable. They feel they can do and say whatever they want and hide behind their lies. The people suffer and are helpless from this evil, because we feel we have no power and must go along.

Application: I need to stop feeling self-defeated and turn to God for direction. My Lord is all powerful and He knows what is happening. I need to rest in the assurance that He will judge righteously the evil and the good. I need to stay focused that this is not my home and that I’m a temporary resident of this place.

Prayer: Dear Lord I’m so tired and weary and each day I cause a burden instead of a blessing. Help me Lord stay focused on You and your desire for the life you have blessed me with. May I finish the race in glory and honor to you.
