Scripture Jeremiah 39:18 For I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword; but your life shall be as a prize to you, because you have put your trust in Me,” says the LORD.’”

Observation: What a great saying that my life would be a prize for me. I never looked at it that way that my life is a prize since I put my trust in Him. I can see it now when I gave my life to Christ and put my trust in Him my life has been totally different. Where all I could think of was ending my life, God came and gave me a purpose and reason to cherish the life that He gave me. Before all I wanted was anybody’s life but mine, but now I don’t want to be any one else but me.

Application: To use this life that God has blessed me with to honor Him. To live the best, I can putting God first and look at my life as the gift God has given me. What is great about this prize that after my time here on this earth I get to have it for all of eternity with the giver of my gift.

Prayer Lord guide me through the remaining portion of this life that I will trust You with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding put in all of my ways acknowledge You and that you will make my paths straight.

Scripture Jeremiah 38:20 But Jeremiah said, “They shall not deliver you. Please, obey the voice of the LORD which I speak to you. So it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.

Observation: That is what God is calling all of His children to do, is obey His voice. He has made it clear in His word what we are called to do. If we obey it will go well with us. This doesn’t mean we won’t have trials, but we will be able to go through them with Him. We are called to love God with all our heart, mind and soul and to do that we must be obedient to Him.

Application: I need to be obedient in all I do, not just what is convenient at the time or what I feel like doing. God has made it clear on how I’m to act, what I’m to do and how to treat others. I need to humble myself and put my Lord’s desire first in my life and then the needs of others.

Prayer My Lord use your servant today. Speak to my heart and tell me what You would like. Speak to me and guide me and put me back on the path if I stray. I’m your bond servant command me.

Scripture Jeremiah 37:3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “Pray now to the LORD our God for us.”

Observation: That is what I hear every day to pray to the Lord for our country and it needs prayer, but is it worthy to be prayed for. Our country is going to the enemy and we remove God in everything we do and then we ask Him to bless us. My prayer is that He would have mercy and save this country because of the righteous that dwell here. Along with prayer we as His children need to take action and glorify Him. We can’t be that silent majority any longer but be willing to fight for our beliefs.

Application: I need to do my part and glorify God in any way I can. I can’t hide any longer in our country, but must speak out and direct others to God. My top priority is to do God’s will in fulfilling the purpose He has created me for. I need to be a light and not a dim glow.

Prayer My Lord I need strength and wisdom to accomplish what You wish. I’m afraid and need your strength and boldness to be that light You call me to be. My only fear should be not to do what You created me to do.

Scripture Jeremiah 36:28 “Take yet another scroll, and write on it all the former words that were in the first scroll which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.

Observation: That is what happens today people try to destroy God’s word or simply ignore it, but it will last forever. Many try to discredit the bible, but it always comes out to be the word of God. The prophesies can’t be denied and the testimonies of His saints continue to grow on how the Lord has changed them through his word.

Application: I’m such a testimony of how God’s grace, mercy and love have affected my life. I need to be bold and share my testimony and to continue to read God’s word each day. I need it to be imbedded into my heart so when I need to use it will always be with me.

Prayer My Lord your word is food for my soul and I need it each day to survive. Place in my heart the words that I will need today and use me to be a light in this dark place. I love You Lord and want to honor You.

Scripture Jeremiah 35:15 I have also sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Turn now everyone from his evil way, amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them; then you will dwell in the land which I have given you and your fathers.’ But you have not inclined your ear, nor obeyed Me.

Observation: Turning from your evil ways is the definition of repent. Repent is truing from our evil ways and walking towards God or amending our ways. We have been warned through God’s words and the prophets on what we are called to do and we have no excuse. So many have gone to other gods, Money, security and greed and we are called to repent from this evil. Time is coming when we will no longer be here and it will be our choice where we spend eternity.

Application: God needs to be the most important thing in my life. My service to Him should be number one in my life. I need to make sure what I do and my thoughts honors God. I’ve been warned and have no excuses to do what is right in His eyes.

Prayer My Lord you sit on the throne of my life. Please command me to be obedient to You today. Direct my paths bless me as I walk the beach today that I will be doing what pleases You. You are my God and there are no other gods before You.

Scripture Jeremiah 34:17 “Therefore thus says the LORD: ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and every one to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you,’ says the LORD—to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth.

Observation: I can’t even count the times that I’ve disobeyed God. My sinful ways seem to overcome my obedience at times or maybe just laziness and selfishness rules over me. God makes it pretty clear what He wants me to do He has written extensive instructions in His word. One of the hardest ones for me is to love others as myself. I seem to always want more than I give.

Application: Fight my laziness and pride everyday giving into the desire to want for myself instead of giving to others. Make plans each day on how I plan to be obedient to my Father and control my thinking the best I can to avoid evil thoughts.

Prayer My Lord I need you so desperately. I want to do what is right by you but I always seem to fail and look out for the things that I desire. Give me strength to fulfill what will please You. I love You and I know You know that, but I need your help honoring You.

Scripture Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Observation: There is so much I don’t know or understand. Each day I’m not sure what to do. I feel lost so often and if I didn’t start my day in prayer I would be totally lost. God guides me throughout the day and opens my eyes to the wonders around me and guides my steps. There will always be so much I don’t know, but God gives me the knowledge I need.

Application: I need to continue seeking wisdom and knowledge from God. Before I go anywhere, I need to ask God where He wants me to be. I’m His servant and servants ask their master what they would like them to do. I need to be humble and obey.

Prayer My Lord I’m going out to the beach again to see who You desire me to meet. Give me the wisdom to do what pleases You. Give me the strength to do it. May I serve you in the way you desire.
