Keeping Myself Pure

Scripture: 1 Timothy 5:22 Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

Observation: It is so easy to get caught up with others, peer pressure. I remember as a teenager how I would do just about anything to belong to the group. Now a days I hang out with Christians and that’s a group I should belong in. I’m still easily swayed so I hang out with people that are swaying in the right direction.

Application: To make better judgments to make sure what I’m doing is pleasing to God. Even though most of the people I hang around with are Christians I’m still in the world and surrounded by so many others. So no matter who I’m with Jesus is always with me and that’s the person I want to imitate.

Prayer: Dear Lord keep me from sin. I’m so easily influenced dear Lord guide me to be the man who can influence others in your name.
