Scripture Jeremiah 46:28 Do not fear, O Jacob My servant,” says the LORD,
“For I am with you;
For I will make a complete end of all the nations
To which I have driven you,
But I will not make a complete end of you.
I will rightly correct you,
For I will not leave you wholly unpunished.”

Observation: This scripture is for Israel, but it fits today. Even the Christians in America are weak and give in easily to this world. We deserve to be punished for our lack of faith and the way we give into evil. We need to get back to Jesus, His word and commands and stop looking at this place as home. Our life only exists to honor God and we are doing a poor job of it. We need to receive our punishment and learn from it, knowing God’s mercy is unending and the He will save us.

Application: I need to do a better job of being a follower of Christ. I need to trust in my Lord in every situation and do as He commands me. I deserve any correction He desires to give me and I need to ask to understand how I might be better.

Prayer My Lord I get so involved in this evil place and in myself. I start the day with you but it doesn’t take much time until I drift away. Help me stay focused on you each day and be the man You called me to be.

Scripture Jeremiah 45:5 And do you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I will bring adversity on all flesh,” says the LORD. “But I will give your life to you as a prize in all places, wherever you go.

Observation: That is one of the biggest problems we want great things for ourselves. Our focus is on us and what we want, we don’t care for the needs of others if it interferes with taking away from our desires.

Application: I need to look for the needs of others above myself and stop spending most of my time seeking what I want. My desire should be to do God’s will and not to accumulate stuff that will only last for awhile. I have a short time here and God has blessed me above anything I deserve and I need to use it to glorify Him.

Prayer My Lord I know that I’m selfish and think about myself most of the time and I need you to reach down and open my heart to You and to others. Take this selfishness away and give me a generous heart for you.

Scripture Jeremiah 44:23 Because you have burned incense and because you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD or walked in His law, in His statutes or in His testimonies, therefore this calamity has happened to you, as at this day.”

Observation: This country has truly sinned against the Lord and we deserve His judgement. We wonder why things are so bad here lately, but I believe it’s because we have deserted God’s laws and will. Our churches are afraid to open we are commanded to wear masks; laws are being made that are against what God desires and we are removing Him from this country and it appears as if He is leaving. We have become a nation of evil and Satan is loving it.

Application: There is very little I can do to change the direction this country is taking. I need to do my small part, voting, signing recall petitions and to stand up for God’s laws. God has given me a ministry to pray for others along the beach and that is what I need to focus on now and be obedient on anything else He gives me to do.

Prayer Lord as I go out today to be with others, put those in my path that need to hear from you. May they focus on You before they go back into this evil world. Please Lord strengthens your servant’s faith and use me to glorify You.

Scripture Jeremiah 43:7 So they went to the land of Egypt, for they did not obey the voice of the LORD. And they went as far as Tahpanhes.

Observation: The Israelites continue to disobey God, much like today. America was founded on God’s word and we have strayed so far from it. We deserved to be judged for the wickedness that is in this land. We don’t only not obey the voice of God but we repel against it, doing the opposite of what He desires. Hopefully Satan’s time is short.

Application: To be obedient to my God is to show Him that I love Him and that is what He desires of all of us. To trust and obey is for our good. God doesn’t need any of us, it’s his will that we are here and he loves us, but it must also break his heart to see how much disobedience there is and how we hurt each other. I need to continue on my calling to offer prayer and tell them of the love of the Father.

Prayer My Lord, I thank you for all the blessings You have given me and I look forward to coming home and be with you forever. Give me strength, wisdom and guidance to do your will and to fulfill the purpose you have created me for.

Scripture Jeremiah 42:6 Whether it is pleasing or displeasing, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God to whom we send you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.”

Observation: When you do God’s will it’s not always pleasing if it was people would do it for that reason and not to glorify God. God’s will can be hard and at times make no sense to us, but His ways are higher than ours. This short time we spend on this earth is a test. Are we going to receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior and are we going to obey our God? These decisions have eternal consequences where we are going to spend eternity and what rewards we will receive when we get to heaven.

Application: I need to obey my Heavenly Father not for position in eternity, but because He deserves it. I owe God everything my life, my love, my obedience and my time. I need to give Him those things out of gratitude and worship. God owes me nothing and I owe Him everything and doing His will is the most important thing I can do.

Prayer My Lord I humbly come before You and ask what You desire of me. That You would guide me this day to do Your will. My desire is to please You may the day not end until I bring a smile to your face.

Scripture Jeremiah 41:13 So it was, when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, that they were glad.

Observation: Now God’s children and others are being held captives by this evil government. We have been restricted of worship, restricted of what we are allowed to do and so many live in fear. We are waiting to be set free from this bondage either a political leader that leads by God’s way or Jesus himself would come and bring us all home.

Application: I need to be ready when that time comes and do whatever will honor God at that time. To worship God for His provisions. Mercy, grace and love, to trust in Him through this trying time. I need to continue to do what God is calling me to do to pray for others and spread His word.

Prayer My Lord please rescue us from the tyranny that is happening to us now. Please set us free to worship You and continue to live a life that would be pleasing to you. I will rejoice the day You return to bring us home.

Scripture Jeremiah 40:3 Now the LORD has brought it, and has done just as He said. Because you people have sinned against the LORD, and not obeyed His voice, therefore this thing has come upon you.

Observation: This country has definitely sinned against God. We say God bless America, but why should He. What is happening in the world, evil is taking over and we are not stopping it. Satan isn’t even trying to hide his plans, because he knows there is nothing, we can do about it. If we don’t call on God and repent from our evil ways there is no hope for us. We are Americans, but more importantly we are children of God and we need to act like it and please our Heavenly Father.

Application: My Heart is so full of hatred and all I want is to get back at those that are destroying us. It’s not my fight, only God can turn the tides. I’m called to be an obedient servant and God has called me to love, not hate. Each day I need to do what I can and pray for those that God puts in my path and trust in Him.

Prayer Lord help me please, be what You desire me to be. My heart is full of anger, please Lord calm my spirit. That I will trust in you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding, but in everything acknowledge You and You will make my path straight.
