Scripture 2 Corinthians 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Observation: I tell others that I still suffer from depression and I believe that is God’s will for me. I’m able to control it through prayer and God has given me a calming spirit. I believe God doesn’t take it away so that I need to stay near and that I still can relate to those I speak to that are suffering from it. It is also a great reminder that God’s grace is sufficient no matter what I’m going through. I know He loves me, He’s in control of my life and this place isn’t my home I have a home with Him forever.

Application: I need to stay focused on my Lord and my purpose here. No matter what might come my way I need to know I have all I need in Christ. God will guide me through any storm I just need to follow him and receive his amazing grace.

Prayer Dear Lord be with me today as I walk. Give me the knowledge and wisdom to do what is of you. I receive your grace in my life and may I show that grace to others in your name.

Scripture 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Observation: Paul was discussing false teachers as he spoke to the church. Today there are so many and they twist the word of God the way they desire. They come as Satan did as an angel of light preaching the word, but it’s not the word of God. We can’t depend on pastors and ministers for our knowledge we need to get in the word of God and discover for ourselves what God is telling us. When the time comes, we will not have excuses why we didn’t obey His word He gave to us personally.

Application: There are so many subtle changes some make to the word. Today a brother wrote a text arguing that there are no rewards we can earn for heaven, even though Jesus spoke of them frequently. We can all agree to disagree and we’ll all find out at the end of this life, but I want to get my answers through prayer and God’s word.

Prayer My Lord help me study your word each day. Please take away any distractions and put on my heart what you want me to learn. I want to be ready when you come for me and be that faithful servant you require me to be.

Scripture 2 Corinthians 10:17 But “he who glories, let him glory in the LORD.”

Observation: One of my problems is taking credit for something God has done. I would always seek praise and try to build myself up and now as I walk with my prayer shirt people come to me to talk and pray and the purpose is to guide others to Christ. Our only job here is to glorify God to others so that they may see and believe.

Application: I need to stay humble during my walks and remind myself why I’m out there. God has allowed me to walk and talk to his children and my desire is to be grateful of this opportunity. I need to stay humble yet loving to others as I walk pointing others to my Lord. I love sharing my testimony on how God saved me and I need to find more opportunities to do that.

Prayer My Lord guide me today to those you desire me to speak to. Give me the strength to finish my walk today reminding me that I’m there only because you desire it so. Keep me humble and that my words today will glorify you.
