Scripture 2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

Observation: There are so many cults led by these false teachers today. I run into them all the time as they sell their false religion to unsuspected people. They take what they want out of the Word and place words that don’t belong to entice others. God’s word is perfect and doesn’t need any other interpretation from man. I run into one on Sunday and the last time I saw them I felt led to quote scripture that it would be better to have a millstone tied around your next and thrown in the depths of the sea than make one of these little ones of mine stumble.

Application: I need to be in the word so I have it when I need it to fight off the false teachings of this world. I’m an ambassador of Christ as all Christians are and need to be prepared to defend my beliefs in Christ.

Prayer Dear Lord give me the knowledge and wisdom I will need to stand strong in your word. Use me to bring light to others that need to see you today and use me as you desire.

Scripture 2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

Observation: I ask each day that God will increase my faith. The closer we walk with Jesus the easier it is to obtain the faith that will please God. As we realize all that He has done in our lives, faith becomes easier. We don’t give ourselves to blind faith, but faith that can be seen and felt each day. The apostles asked Jesus to increase their faith and that is what we must do.

Application: Each day I ask God to strengthen my faith and as He gives me more it is easier to do the things that He desires. I see His faithfulness in my life on a daily basis and I try to share that with others as I walk. I give myself as a bondservant to my Lord and ask that He will use me to please Him.

Prayer Dear Father please continue to strengthen my faith and guide me through this day. I give you this life as a living sacrifice may it be holy and pleasing to you.

Scripture 1 Peter 5:10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Observation: I try to fix my own situations in my strength, which I don’t have. Jesus is waiting for us to call on Him to perfect, establish, strengthen and settle us. God is our loving Father and cares for us and when we come to Him, He will help us get through any situation if we would just trust in Him. No matter what we are going through here on this earth doesn’t compare to the wonders we are going to experience in heaven..

Application: God has put on my heart that my life is a day at a time and He is always with me. No matter what I’m going through I can call on Him and He will strengthen me to get through any trial. Even if I suffer a life ending situation here, my life will go on in Heaven with my Lord.

Prayer Thank you Father for caring for me. I start a new day and I know You are always with me. Give me the strength and wisdom to do your will in my life and that today I will be a blessing to you.

Scripture 1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Observation: That is our jobs as Christians to glorify God. Others should be able to hear our words and see our actions and know we belong to Jesus. They should know that anything good that comes from us is from God and that He will give us the opportunities and gifts we need to do His will.

Application: I need to allow God to work in my life and when He does point others to Him. To stay humble and give all the glory to my Lord. Walk in the Holy Spirit and have him use me to do the will of the Father. To Be obedient and patient at all times putting God and others before my desires.

Prayer My Lord I’m yours, please be with me today as I go among your children and use me to glorify You. I thank you for all you have already done in your servant’s life and I ask that you continue to use me to please you.

Scripture 1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

Observation: It’s been wonderful walking each day at the beach. I pray for others, but I also have several people coming up to me asking why am I doing this. I love these moments because I can share what God has done in my life. I’ll share my depression testimony and how God got me through it and how God put on my heart to have my t-shirts made and walk along the strand. I get to share the answered prayers that God has allowed me to see and the constant encouragement of others to continue my journey.

Application: I know I’m doing God’s will in my life and need to be bold and not back down on fulfilling this purpose. To continue to enjoy these walks and the wonderful people God blesses me with each day and draw closer to my Lord as I’m with His children. Have the Holy Spirit guide me each day and to enjoy the journey I’m on. To stay away from anything negative, but to be the light I was called to be.

Prayer Dear Father, I know you love me, even though I can’t understand such a love. Put those in my path today that need to hear the hope I have in You. Keep me humble as others search for you that my light would shine on them.

Scripture 1 Peter 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Observation: We are all part of the body of Christ, living stones. To keep the house strong, we must remove any defect we might have or we may weaken that house. The only way we can stay strong is through the grace of God and to do that we must stay close to Him. Offering ourselves as spiritual sacrifices will make us holy and pleasing to Him and strengthen our spiritual home.

Application: I know I can’t be good on my own it takes the power of God. To be close is to spend time with Him and the more time I spend the stronger I will become. Since I’ve been walking with my God each day on the strand my faith and my desire to please Him and others as become stronger. I need to continue that throughout the day and be the man that can help build up God’s spiritual house.

Prayer Dear Lord thank you for spending time with me and guiding me on this journey. May I represent You today and be a spiritual gift for others. May my life be a spiritual sacrifice holy and pleasing to You.

Scripture 1 Peter 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

Observation: When I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior twenty-three years ago, I was born again. The first time I had no choice of being born, but this time it was a decision to follow Christ. This choice has eternal consequences and instead of making wrong decisions God has given me His word to follow. Now I know what is right and what is wrong, but I still need to decide to follow God’s desires or not.

Application: God’s will should be my desire at all times. There shouldn’t be a conflict, my desire should always to do the will of my Father. I need to weigh each decision I make to make sure it honors my Lord. I messed up my first life without God and now have been given another opportunity which I need my Lord to guide me each day to stay on the path that He has chosen for me.

Prayer My Lord thank you for my new life with You. I’m still a sinner and need your guidance each day. Continue to place on my heart your will and desire for this life and that I will give it to you as a living sacrifice and that it will be holy and pleasing to you.
