Privilege of Sharing

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 8: [4] they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.

Observation: Do I urgently plead to serve or am I reluctant? Most of the time I make excuses why I can’t do something and when I do it’s out of pride, because I feel I’m the only one that can accomplish the task. I tithe but rarely do I give any more than that.

Application: I should look for the opportunity to give and to serve. I should be excited of the prospect of being able to serve and give and thank God for the abilities He has given me and the resources I have.

Prayer: My Lord may I glorify your name with my generosity and eagerness to give and serve.
