Fall Down and Worship

Scripture: Revelations 5: 14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Observation: Why don’t I fall down and worship? The angels in heaven, the elders all fell down and worshipped, yet I give God so little of my time and love. I should be in constant praise and worship of my creator yet He gets the leftovers of my life. Each day I worry and live a life that is not honoring to my Lord.

Application: I need to realize why I’m here. To fall down and worship my Lord, God and Savior. To honor him with each breath and to live a victorious life for all to see. I need to be more aware of my thoughts and actions and what example I’m setting.

Prayer: My Lord place in me the spirit of worshipping you, in all I do. May I glorify you like your angels and all in heaven.

Holy Holy is the Lord

Scripture: Revelations 4: 11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”

Observation: I pray and talk to God but most of the time I don’t stop to think who I’m talking to. The God of all creation, my Creator, no one or anything is greater. God gave me everything and deserves everything from me. He is my creator, my Lord and He loves me. My importance should come from that alone.

Application: Realizing throughout the day who God truly is and give Him the love and respect He deserves from me. To live a life for Him and to do everything I can to please Him.

Prayer: My Lord, my God, my Creator there is no one greater and only you do I praise and worship. Lead your servant today so I may honor you.

I Don’t Want to Be Lukewarm

Scripture: Revelations 3: [16] So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Observation: Sometimes that is how I feel about myself and my church, we’re lukewarm. Searching to do what is honoring and fulfilling our purpose, but stopping short. The fire of the Holy spirit seems quenched at times because of laziness and lack of love for God. At times I can imagine God looking down and how distasteful I must be for all He has done for me.

Application: I need to make every effort to build up the fire within me. I need to look for ways to fulfill my calling and make myself too hot to handle. I want the world to see me burn with the Holy Spirit that it would be so bright they would have to notice.

Prayer: My Lord fill me with the Holy Spirit that I will be pleasing in your sight.

I want to Overcome

Scripture: Revelation 2: 26 To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations–

Observation: I have a hard time overcoming my desires of this world. Too much of my time is focused on things here and not building my treasures in heaven. My desire to relax, have fun, own stuff most of the time overrides God’s will. Instead of overriding I need to overcome these desires.

Application: I need to put God’s will number one in my life. There needs to be nothing more important than pleasing God. I need to set goals in my life for what God desires and finish this race well.

Prayer: Dear Lord set on my heart the things of you. Open my heart so that I may hear from you.

Being Blessed with Revelation

Scripture: Revelation 1: [3] Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

Observation: I do want to be blessed even though I don’t deserve it, God continues to bless. I need to make sure I do more than read, I need to hear it and take it to heart. Most of the time I read and my mind wanders and I forget what I just read.

Application: I need to do more than read God’s word. First, I need to realize that this is God’s word, the most important thing on this earth, His directions on how He wants me to live this life. I need to study and meditate on His word. Then take it to heart and live my life according to it.

Prayer: My Lord give me the discipline to live your word. Place it in my heart and may I have it always throughout my days.
