Month: April 2026

All the Riches Have Vanished

Scripture: Revelations 18: :14 “They will say, `The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.’

Observation: I still spend too much time trying to attain the riches of this world. I keep looking at cars, which I don’t need. I make my house a prize possession, yet when the Lord calls me home all of it is lost. Why can’t I let it go and use the money God has given me to build my treasures in heaven? Why spend so much on something I will lose?

Application: I need to think before I spend, do I need this, what else could I do with this money that would glorify God? I’m only here for a short while longer, I need to get busy to finish what God has called me to do.

Prayer: My Lord all that I have comes from you and belongs to you. Show me how to use it to glorify and honor You.

Blessed Are Those Awake

Scripture: Revelations 16: 15 “Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

Observation: When I get too involved in this world it’s like falling asleep in Christ. I get wrapped up in worldly affairs and forget why God put me here. I become naked to Christ because I don’t have the clothes of righteousness on.

Application: I get caught up in things of this world and I need to focus on Christ and be ready when He returns. I can’t allow my Lord to find me sleeping when He returns. Each day I need to be busy doing His will in my life. There should not be a moment in my day that I would be ashamed of if He returned at that moment.

Prayer: My Lord give me a dose of spiritual no-doze. Keep me alert to the schemes of the devil. May my focus be of you each moment of the day.

The Devil Lost

Scripture: Revelations 12: [9] The great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Observation: The devil has been defeated and no longer has power over my life. He may tempt me, but he cannot harm me for I belong to Christ. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and that includes avoiding Satan’s temptations.

Application: Every time I worry I give Satan a stronghold in my life. I need to be focused on Christ, knowing He is the victor, my Lord and my Savior. When troubles come, I should pray and draw nearer to God and He will lead me to victory.

Prayer: My Lord place in my heart your desires. Strengthen me in this battle of life and show me how to have victory of the accuser of this world.

Worship God

Scripture: Revelations 11: 16 And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God,

Observation: In heaven one of the things we will be doing is worshipping God. All the angels, elders, all will praise His name. We need to get started now. Our job is to point others to Christ, worship and appreciate God for who He is. The perfect loving Father, our creator.

Application: In everything I do I should be worshipping God by doing it in a way that honors Him. “Do everything as doing it for the Lord.” Whatever I do that honors God is my way of worshipping Him, when I pray, praise Him, serve others, think of Him, love others in His name, I worship Him.

Prayer: My God show me this day all the ways I may worship you. That you may look down on your child and be pleased.

You Must Prophesy

Scripture: Revelations 10: [11] Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”

Observation: It is each believer’s duty to prophesy. It may not have the impact of John’s yet we are all called to spread the gospel, to tell as many people as possible about Christ and the Word of God.

Application: I need to stop being so concerned what people will think if I start talking about Jesus and start being more concerned about how God will feel if I don’t. I will make more of an effort to reflect Jesus’ light in my life and make it known what God has done for me and what He says He wants to do in the life of others.

Prayer: My God use me as your instrument in this world to make your Word known to others. May I not leave this place until the purpose you have given me is complete.

God Will Wipe Away Tears

Scripture: Revelations 7: 17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Observation: Jesus should be at the center of my life. I need to lay down my anxiety and pride at His throne. I then need to follow Him as my Sheppard and obey Him. Once I do that, He can lead me. No Matter what has happened in the past, God will wipe away the pain and guide me through this life.

Application: To realize always that God is in the center of my life, not family, work, money possessions or anything or anybody. Whenever anything overrides Christ in my life I need to stop and rearrange my priorities.

Prayer: My Lord, my God, my Sheppard. Lead me each day to living water, keeping my heart set on you.

Fall Down and Worship

Scripture: Revelations 5: 14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Observation: Why don’t I fall down and worship? The angels in heaven, the elders all fell down and worshipped, yet I give God so little of my time and love. I should be in constant praise and worship of my creator yet He gets the leftovers of my life. Each day I worry and live a life that is not honoring to my Lord.

Application: I need to realize why I’m here. To fall down and worship my Lord, God and Savior. To honor him with each breath and to live a victorious life for all to see. I need to be more aware of my thoughts and actions and what example I’m setting.

Prayer: My Lord place in me the spirit of worshipping you, in all I do. May I glorify you like your angels and all in heaven.
