Scripture: Mathew 14:25 “Lord if it’s you”, Peter replied, “Tell me to come to you on the water.”

Observation: Peter’s reply was if it is you Jesus I can do the impossible. I mean I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Application: I need to pursue the things God asks of me, knowing anything can be done if God’s involved, but I need to distinguish between what God wants and what I think He wants

Prayer: Dear Lord increase my faith. May I be still and hear your voice in what you desire of me and pursue the things of you. Grant me success in glorifying you.

Scripture Revelation 22:12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

Observation: The word reward is translated as Mesthos or wages. After we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are on the clock and called to perform the job we were created for. Depending on how we perform our work will determine our wages. This is a job we don’t retire from here and will be working until it’s time to go home.

Application: I need to get up each morning ready for work. I need to do it joyfully and with all of my heart. My job will change from time to time and I must be ready for any promotion and ask the Holy Spirit for the abilities I need to do the job well. God has outlined our job description in His word and we always have the Holy Spirit to train us in our career.

Prayer Good Morning Lord I’m ready to go to work for you. Help me with my duties and give me the knowledge and wisdom I will need to complete the tasks You set before me today.

Scripture Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Observation: Our lives here are only a journey going home. God has given us rewards for living a life that honors Him while we are here, but this place is not our forever home. All the pain we suffer here is only for a short while, anything we accumulate is temporary, and our joy only comes from God and we get to have an eternity of that.

Application: To live my life for the one that gave me it. Take each day at a time knowing no matter what happens to me is temporary. Help others reach their place in heaven doing whatever God calls me to do. Only worry about the things that I can change and realize I can only change me.

Prayer My Lord Heaven sounds so unbelievable, but I know it is true. May I accomplish all that You desire of me and realize the only thing that I can bring with me is others as I proclaim your love.

Scripture Revelation 20:15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Observation: We know if we are written in the book of Life. God has told us what must be done to have our name written in it. If we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior and believe that He died and was resurrected and are baptized our name is in there. The receiving of Jesus must be true and, in our heart, and not just something we might have said with no conviction. This is the most important thing we can do and has eternal consequences.

Application: I’m not being prideful when I say I know my name is written in the book of life and that when I knock my Lord will know me and open the door. This is not because of my righteousness, but because I received His. He has changed my heart and has renewed my mind and I see His hand in my life each day and I can’t wait to thank Him in person.

Prayer Thank you Lord for writing my name in Your book. Help me touch someone’s heart and Holy Spirit open their eyes to your love for them. I freely give you this life use it as you desire. Thank you for not giving up on this sinner.

Scripture Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Observation: I tell others that it’s mathematically impossible for the Bible not to be true because of all the fulfilled prophesies. There are over three hundred prophesies about Jesus alone that were fulfilled. A mathematician calculated if only eight prophesies were fulfilled the likelihood would be 1 in a hundred trillion. Without faith it’s impossible to please God yet He still gave proof that Jesus is our Lord and Savior.

Application: To be confident each day of my belief in my savior, not only because of the proof in prophesy but what He has done personally in my life. Share my testimony of God’s grace and love with those I meet and be sure of my faith and thank God each day for saving me.

Prayer Good morning, Lord. I Look forward to spending time with you and those you put in my path today. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and use me to speak to those that are hurting and guide them to the King of the Universe.

Scripture Revelation 18:19 “They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.’

Observation: A great city full of wealth vanishes in an hour. So will the wealth of anyone, even the richest men in the world will vanish from them at their time of death. Jesus calls us to build our treasures in heaven where rust and moth will not destroy. We become so focused on the things of this world and desire the riches to purchase those things, but the happiness they bring are for only a short while, but our joy comes from the Lord who is eternal.

Application: Each day my focus needs to be doing God’s will and to draw near to Him. Each day as I walk God shows himself to me through the people and prayers. I love seeing his creation for God’s invisible attributes are seen in his visible creation. May I continue to build my treasures in heaven so that I may leave them at the feet of my Lord when I get home.

Prayer Good Morning Lord. Thank you for waking me up this morning. Be with me as you always are as we walk at the strand. Use me to please You and help others get closer to You. I love my life that you have blessed me with, dear Holy Spirit fill me and speak through your servant.

Scripture Revelation 17:14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

Observation: As bad as things are now and all the evil we see every day this is a reminder that at the end our Lord wins and the evil will be gone. We are God’s children and He has always protected us and has promised us an eternal home with Him. No matter what happens to us here we should be focused on where we will be someday.

Application: I need to live this life as a victor with my Lord. Help show others that no matter what they are dealing with is temporary and what are eternal home will look like. Help give people hope through prayer and spend time with those that are going through a difficult time now.

Prayer My Lord thank you for this life you have blessed me with and for the victory over the evil I see. May I live this life for you and think of the day that I will see You and be held in your arms.
