Scripture Psalms 48:14 For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.

Observation: God isn’t only for this life, He saved us to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. He wants us to realize we belong to Him and that He loves us. He knows this life is hard and confusing and that is why He wants to guide us through it. He has given us instructions on how to live, He is always there to ask for guidance and if we can be quiet, we will be able to hear His instructions for us. His motive for putting us here is love and He wants us to succeed in living a fruitful life that He can reward later when we get home.

Application: I hate asking for direction and I think I can figure things out on my own, but I know that is not true. I need to be constantly asking for guidance and then listen for the answers. I have one chance at this life and the decisions I make have eternal consequences. I need not only pray, but I need to listen and take any selfish desires from my heart and fill it with Godly ones. I have one chance and I can’t afford to mess it up.

Prayer: My Lord, I need you more than I will ever need anything else. Soften my heart and give me the wisdom to listen to You. Please guide me each moment of every day so I don’t get lost in this maze of life. I’m so stubborn Lord soften my heart that I will humble myself before you and be obedient to every command. I love you Lord may I prove it with my actions today,

Scripture Psalms 47:2 For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth.

Observation: I need to remember that God is the one that is awesome and not me. He created me for His good pleasure and not mine. My Lord rules the earth no matter what is happening He is allowing it to happen. Whether we agree or not it doesn’t matter God is all powerful and He has a purpose for everything. Once we have God on His throne where He belongs, we can rest assured that everything will be as it is supposed to be. God is the ruler not us or anyone else on this earth, but God is King and He rules justly. If we can accept that and serve as we are called to do, we will have peace and allow God to rule for He is awesome

Application: I need to take this advice and stop worrying all of the time and allow God to rule in my heart. I wake up and go to bed with so much on my mind it is hard to rest and I need to have my awesome King rule not just the world but my life as well. He created me and knows why and I need to let Him take charge and trust Him in everything. I need to let Him reign completely in my life.

Prayer: My Lord your servant is waiting to be commanded by His King. Command me today to do all you desire and that I will be obedient in all. Rule over your servant have me serve you wholeheartedly. I love you and I desire to please you with this life you have given me.

Scripture Psalms 46:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A song for Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

Observation: I don’t know why I continue to try to live this life without God’s help. I’m so arrogant that I think I have the strength to live without my Lord at times, but the truth is that apart from God I can’t do anything. I find my heart in agony and my mind wrought with confusion and anger over the simplest of things. A day doesn’t go by that my mind and heart are in trouble and it doesn’t seize until I open my eyes to my Lord. He is always there for me and all I have to do is call out His name and ask for guidance.

Application: I need to always give my life to the Lord and realize there is nothing good I can do without Him. I need to humble myself before His throne and ask for the wisdom and strength I will need Him each day and not go my on my own. I want Him to rule my life from the time I get up to the time I fall asleep. I need my Lord to take full control of this life.

Prayer: My Lord I know I can’t live this life without you. Take charge and command your servant on what to do. This life is for You and not me so please use it to glorify your name and guide me through the rest of it so it honors You. I love You Lord may my actions prove that.

Scripture Psalms 45:17 I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever.

Observation: This is our job to live our life in a way that others will praise God and that our children and grandchildren will tell others about our loving and caring God. We are to go out and make disciples and the way to do it is to tell others what God has done for us and to explain the gospel so that others will thirst for more of God’s love. When we understand God’s nature and what He has done for us we can share that with others. We should become contagious so that our love spreads to others and that God will be praised forever. If every Christian would do their part God’s word would know no bounds.

Application: To tell of my Lord and all that He had done for me and wants to do for them. I need to stop selling others on myself and humble myself and tell them about the wonders of my God. That is why we are all here to be a witness of what God desires for us. We are here to praise God and that is my desire, but I need to make that the priority in my life and not an afterthought. My goals need to change and doing God’s will needs to be first in my life and others need to see that in me. That my mission is to praise God and to bring others to His loving grace.

Prayer: My Lord you are worthy of all of my love, worship, praise and time, yet I give you so little. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and guide me through the rest of this life that I will live in a way that others may see you and praise you. I love you Lord help me live that kind of life.

Scripture Psalms 44:3 For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.

Observation: I think I can accomplish so much by using the skills I acquired, but the truth is that I have nothing that God hasn’t given me. Any good thing I do is only because God has allowed me to do. Any skill or gift I have is from God along with the opportunities that come my way. This whole life is choices if I follow God I will reap a reward no matter how difficult it might be and if I venture out on my own I will also reap what I sow. The more I do in God’s will and to glorify Him the more I will succeed in what God has called me to do

Application: I need to realize each day that whatever happens God has allowed and has given me what I need to do His will. There is nothing good within me apart from God so I need Him with me at all time guiding and directing my course. The more I realize I depend solely on my Lord the closer I will get to knowing His will for my life, because in life that is all that matters everything else becomes a distraction if it is not honoring to my Master.

Prayer: My Lord help me realize that you control this life if I give it back to you. I don’t want to move an inch unless it is ordained by you. Guide me through this life and show me what you desire me to do. I’m here to serve and fulfill the purpose you have created this servant for. I love you my Lord and Master.

Scripture Psalms 43:3 Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle.

Observation: God sends His light and truth through His word. I need to know His word better each day and follow what is written in it. God has a plan for my life since the beginning and desires me to fulfill that plan before I come home. God is always sending His light out, but so often we don’t see it because we are so distracted from the things of this world.

Application: I need God to open my eyes to His truth and show me what He desires of me. I need to find a way to be quiet and still before Him so that I may hear and that He would be able to guide me. I need to stop being so distracted and focus on God’s truth and will for my life.

Prayer: My Lord help me see your light and understand your truth. Help me live a better life, a life that honors and glorifies your name. Give me the energy and strength that I will need to fulfill my purpose in this life. I want you to be proud of me, I love you so much.

Scripture Psalms 42:1 To the Chief Musician. A Contemplation of the sons of Korah. As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.

Observation: That is my desire to want God so desperately that it is the source of my life, which He is. God too often becomes an afterthought during the day instead of the main purpose of my existence. I should live my life as if I don’t seek God that my body and soul aches as if I didn’t have any water. God sustains me and the more I have of my Lord the healthier and stronger I become.

Application: I need to have God on my heart all day long whether good or bad He needs to be my focus and desire each and every day. I need to live in a way that without I would perish, which is what I would do. My dependence and future lie in His hands not mine and that should be the way I think always. I should never leave His side and when I do I need to run back to stay close to Him. My life only exists because of Him I need to be close to my source of power.

Prayer: My Lord, my life You know my heart and my desire to honor You. You also know how many times I fail each day. Draw me near to you that you are all I feel and hear during each day. You are my source of life, may I live in power and strength in your presence. I love you and want to finish well speak to your servant.
