Scripture Jeremiah 34:17 “Therefore thus says the LORD: ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and every one to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you,’ says the LORD—to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth.

Observation: I can’t even count the times that I’ve disobeyed God. My sinful ways seem to overcome my obedience at times or maybe just laziness and selfishness rules over me. God makes it pretty clear what He wants me to do He has written extensive instructions in His word. One of the hardest ones for me is to love others as myself. I seem to always want more than I give.

Application: Fight my laziness and pride everyday giving into the desire to want for myself instead of giving to others. Make plans each day on how I plan to be obedient to my Father and control my thinking the best I can to avoid evil thoughts.

Prayer My Lord I need you so desperately. I want to do what is right by you but I always seem to fail and look out for the things that I desire. Give me strength to fulfill what will please You. I love You and I know You know that, but I need your help honoring You.

Scripture Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Observation: There is so much I don’t know or understand. Each day I’m not sure what to do. I feel lost so often and if I didn’t start my day in prayer I would be totally lost. God guides me throughout the day and opens my eyes to the wonders around me and guides my steps. There will always be so much I don’t know, but God gives me the knowledge I need.

Application: I need to continue seeking wisdom and knowledge from God. Before I go anywhere, I need to ask God where He wants me to be. I’m His servant and servants ask their master what they would like them to do. I need to be humble and obey.

Prayer My Lord I’m going out to the beach again to see who You desire me to meet. Give me the wisdom to do what pleases You. Give me the strength to do it. May I serve you in the way you desire.

Scripture Jeremiah 32:17 ‘Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

Observation: We get so involved with all of the trouble we are seeing that we fall into anxiety forgetting that God can handle any situation. It’s funny the harder times get the farther we fall from our only hope and stay focused on the problem and not the problem solver. We take the creator of all things out of our world and wonder why everything is going so wrong.

Application: I am just as bad as most focusing on the things around me instead of focusing on what God wants me to do. I need to remind myself there is nothing that God can’t do and there is nothing hidden from Him. He sees what is happening and is waiting for us to turn to Him. He has given me a choice each day on what to do and how to act and I need to act in faith, know that He will do what is right.

Prayer My Lord and creator You are my God. Lord increase my faith and that I may always look to You above anything else. Humble me for I’m your servant, please command me today and what You desire of me. I love You Lord.

Scripture Jeremiah 31:34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Observation: Jesus has opened the door to know God’s word and His desires. Jeremiah was speaking of Jesus that He was going to come so that are sins will be forgiven. Only the perfect sacrifice would suffice and Jesus is perfect. He made a way for us to enter Heaven and gave us the Holy Spirit to help us know the Lord.

Application: God as received me as His child, because of Jesus’ sacrifice for me. I owe Him everything and that is what I need to give Him. I need to draw closer to God studying His word doing what please Him. This life is no longer just mine but it is His and I freely give it as a living sacrifice.

Prayer My Lord I’m always saying the words, but help me but them in action. Show me how to be the light You call your children to be in this very dark place. I still have so much to learn guide me today in what would please you.

Scripture Jeremiah 30:22 ‘You shall be My people,
And I will be your God.’”

Observation: We have fallen so far from God, but He continues to call us to Him. We are His creation, His children if we will receive God as our King. The greatest title I could have is to be God’s child. He is a gracious God and will give us the choice if we want Him to rule our life and won’t force us.

Application: For me I want to continue to draw close to my God and I freely give Him this life as a living sacrifice hoping that it will be holy and pleasing to Him. I am His child and I want Him to guide me through this life because without Him I am lost.

Prayer My Lord please draw me nearer to You each day. Show me what would please You for you are worthy of all of my love, praise and obedience.

Scripture Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Observation: I pray this verse every day to remind me that God has a purpose for my life. It’s a reminder no matter what might be happening in our lives that God is thinking of our good. When we don’t think we have much of a future God is telling us we do and there is hope for each one of us. Even though we may not feel like there is much hope here on this earth there is a new one coming.

Application: To live without fear knowing that God has this handled. We continue to be warned in scriptures about trials and we should expect them, but knowing that God loves us and as a plan. Every day that I wake I need to thank God for His love and provisions and ask Him what His plans are for the day.

Prayer Lord, I can’t thank you enough for loving me even though I’m not loveable. I ask you to guide my path today and put people in my path that I may speak the words you have for them. Whatever future and hope I have left on this earth may it be used to glorify You.

Scripture Jeremiah 28:15 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, “Hear now, Hananiah, the LORD has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.

Observation: There are so many in influence today that are trying to make us trust in a lie. They ignore God and try to take Him out of this country that was founded on His Word. Now we see some of these leaders tell us they are believers in Jesus and they are the ones doing His will, when in fact they are not. Hananiah died for his false prophesying and we will see what God does with the current day false prophets.

Application: I need to stay away from the lies and things that are beyond my control, which is just about everything. These leaders are lying to God’s children to harm them. This is not my fight but my Lord’s and I need to trust Him to do what is right in His eyes, not mine.

Prayer My Lord please judge those that are doing harm to your children. The enemy has a hold of this country, please break us free and restore us or end it now and bring us home.
