Do Not Become Lazy

Scripture: Hebrews 6: [12] We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

Observation: I’m here sitting at my desk at home wondering what to do after I write this journal. It is so hard at times looking for work and the constant rejection I feel because no one calls back. So I debate whether just to relax, walk on the beach or maybe go swimming and do nothing. My patience is growing short even though it has only been a week since I was laid off, where is my faith. I need to be busy looking for work, but also looking why God has given me this time, I know there is something I should be doing.

Application: Continue looking for work, putting in applications, talking to anyone that might have a lead and then be patient and quiet so I may hear from God and then have faith he will talk to me. God never wastes a hurt and he works the good in all things.

Prayer: Dear Lord forgive this servant for his impatience and lack of faith. You have always been faithful and have blessed me beyond measure. Increase my faith and open my eyes to what it is you desire of me.
