I Need to Be A Fireman

Scripture: Jude 1 [23] snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear–hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.:

Observation: God’s commission is to go out and spread the gospel so none would perish. My job is to get people out of the fire. Without Jesus they are doomed for all eternity in the raging fire of Hell. This includes everyone God puts in my path whether I like them or not, no matter what I think of them, because God loves them and with the right heart I need to love them to.

Application: I need to see others through God’s eyes, His loving and caring eyes. I should be God’s voice to others helping lead them to the Lord. I need to be the fireman and go into the burning building of doubt and embarrassment and extend my hand to pull them out. It will be their choice whether they take my hand or fall back into the flames. Like a fireman I’m on duty all the time.

Prayer: My Lord I’m your servant and am ready to do your calling in my life. Give me the courage and wisdom to enter other’s lives and to speak to them about my loving Father, whose grace has given me hope and an eternal life with Him.
