Set Apart for God

Scripture Leviticus 21: [6] They must be holy to their God and must not profane the name of their God. Because they present the offerings made to the LORD by fire, the food of their God, they are to be holy.

Observation: This scripture talks about the qualifications to be a priest in the temple. They must be holy, set apart, and there are things they are to do and things that they aren’t to be holy. We may not be priest, but we are set apart for service to our God. We are to never profane the name of God and our bodies are to be living sacrifices, Holy and pleasing to God, this is our spiritual act of worship.

Application: I have things that I should be doing and also things that I shouldn’t be, to be holy. My life can’t profane God’s name, but it should left Him up with how I treat others and the things that I do. I need to be that living sacrifice leading others to my Lord and savior. I need to rid myself of this anger and I need the Holy Spirit to fill me so that I may love others the way God wants me to love.

Prayer: Dear Lord you are worthy of all of my love, praise and obedience. Help me serve you in a way that is honoring to you. Humble your servant to serve others and put their needs above mine.
