Blaming God

Scripture Josh 7:7 And Joshua said, “Alas, Lord GOD, why have You brought this people over the Jordan at all–to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Oh, that we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan!

Observation: How many times in His word are people blaming God for their problems. They would continually cry out to God and ask why and always it was something that they did that caused the problem. It’s no difference today, people crying out to God because things don’t go right in their life when their life is so far from God. We constantly sin and then say God bless America and how can He? Before blaming God we need to look at our lives to see if we are honoring Him and even if things do go wrong we need to look to God to see what He wants us to do in that situation.

Application: My life is so imperfect and things go wrong all the time, usually because of bad decisions and not waiting on God. I need to live a life that God can bless and be open minded when things don’t go right that I trust Him and go to Him to see what He desires of His servant. I’m here to serve my Lord and not the other way around. I need to always realize who is the Master and who is the servant.

Prayer: My Lord you are my God and Master and you owe me nothing and I owe you everything. Help me live a life that says I have surrendered to you. Help me understand how you desire to work in my life and that I would obey you on every command. You are so worthy of all I have and am.
