How Did We Receive the Spirit?

Scripture Galatians 3:2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Observation: I received the spirit with my confession of faith in Jesus. I received him with my mind and heart and the Holy Spirit began to change me. Good works did not save me, but after receiving the Holy Spirit I felt called to do them. I’m building up rewards that will be cashed in when I get home. I would never have done these good works if it wasn’t for the Holy Spirit guiding me, but I receive the credit for doing them.

Application: I need to increase my faith each day and strengthen it by remembering all that God has done for me. Continue to listen to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to guide me. My purpose here is to glorify God and to help lead others to him. May that always be my priority each day as I continue to walk in this world.

Prayer My Lord, I ask you to increase my faith each day and use me to do your will. Put others in my path as I walk this morning that need to hear from you. May I be a good ambassador for you, you deserve my best.
