A Servant

Scripture: Romans 16: 1 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church in Cenchrea.

Observation: That is what I should be known as, a servant of the church. Several times as I would serve instead of doing it for God, I enjoyed the praise I received from others. I’m only doing these things because God has allowed me, given me the talents and desires it of me. When I serve, it should always be for the glory of God.

Application: When I’m serving, It needs to be glorifying God. The credit needs to point to Him and God alone. I’m not only a servant of the church, but most importantly a servant of God

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for the gifts, talents and abilities you have given me. May they be used for your glory and multiply by your power in honor to you.
