Scripture Matthew 12:50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

Observation: My desire is to do the will of my Father. It’s hard for me because my mind wanders and my nature is evil. I try to stay focused on what God desires of me and my thoughts go astray to the problems of this world. Everyone’s true purpose is to do the will of the Father and to be a relative of Christ.

Application: As soon as I wake up, I need to go to the Father in prayer to ask what He desires of me that day. I know what pleases my Lord and what displeases Him. I can’t say I’m ignorant anymore, because I know His word. My goal each day is to know God’s will and do it.

Prayer Dear Jesus I want so desperately want to be part of your family. Help me stay on the path of your will and accomplish what you desire of me today.

Scripture Matthew 10:20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Observation: Since I’ve been praying on the beach, I’m constantly experiencing the Holy Spirit speaking through me. Words come out of my mouth that I can’t believe. They bring others and myself peace and conviction. At first, I was a little nervous praying for others and I would try to think of different things to say in my prayers, but then God called me to just sit still as He spoke to His children.

Application: I need to continue to get better about having the Spirit speak through me. I need to trust God completely in what He has called me to do for He is the potter and I’m simply the clay and what a joy it is to be molded each day by His loving touch.

Prayer My Lord I’m your vessel to be used as You desire. I thank you that You are able to even use me for I’m not worthy. Continue to speak through me that I may help others grow closer to You.

Scripture Matthew 9:38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Observation: When the word reward is used in the Bible it means wages. God is going to pay us wages if we do the work, He calls us to do. This is one of the most important jobs God can call us to do. We are to go out in the world and spread the good news and harvest those souls that want to be saved. There are many ways to do this job, but we must be diligent in doing our duties.

Application: God has given me direction to go out to the strand in Oceanside and pray for those who want prayer. I need to be obedient as He brings people in my path and even if no one needs prayer that day I will be there as God calls me. I need to be in prayer to hear the direction that God is giving me.

Prayer My Lord I’m your servant and wait for your direction. I’m here to serve You in any way that You call me to. May I finish this race to glorify You.

Scripture Matthew 8:26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Observation: That is what is happening today everyone is fearful whether COVID, Racism, Election and so on, that is all you see anymore. We are living in uncertain times or are we? God is constant and never changes like His word. If we focus on the world we will live in fear, but if we are focused on our Lord, we can receive peace and joy.

Application: There is nothing this world can do to me that God doesn’t know. I need to stay focused on God and His purpose for my life. Stay in His presence doing His will, because that is why I’m here. Do not get involved with other people opinions, but stay strong in the word.

Prayer My Lord You alone are my master. Each day command me to what you want me to do. Help me stay obedient to You and not be distracted by the evil around me. May I always stay true to You.

Scripture Matthew 7:12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Observation: This is a scripture God has continued to put on my heart. Before Christ most everything I did to others I was afraid it would come back around to me. I try to make sure all that I do will glorify God and to show His love to others. I keep this scripture in my heart whenever I speak to someone. I realize I need others as they need me at times.

Application: Continue to have this scripture on my heart whenever I meet someone. Not to withhold any help that I might be able to give to someone and to speak to them with the love of Jesus. I’m here as an ambassador of my Lord and I need to be true to His word.

Prayer Dear Lord thank you for saving me and giving me a new heart. Continue to work in me to make me more like Jesus and to treat others as He would.

Scripture Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Observation: When I was suffering from depression that was one of my biggest problems that I would worry about everything. I was consumed with past mistakes, troubles I was dealing with and possible anxieties that might be coming my way. I never enjoyed the moment I was in and therefore had no joy in my life.

Application: God has helped me see how my constant worrying was destroying my life. I live one day at a time and search for God’s blessings that are always around me and thank Him all day long. Whenever I feel myself worrying, I take it in prayer to my Lord and seek for His guidance in each situation. He always reminds me it’s one day at a time and each day He is there with me.

Prayer My Lord thank you for always being there for me and all that You bless me with each day. I know this place is temporary and that I have a home with you for all eternity. May I be a blessing to You each day and that a day doesn’t go by that I don’t bring a smile to your face.

Scripture Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Observation: My actions must be holy and pleasing to God in a way that others can see God’s glory in my life. I enjoy walking the strand and harbor each day saying good morning, talking and praying with others because I know it honors and pleases God. I love when my light shines so that others can see and are encouraged by what God has me doing.

Application: The last couple of days people have been encouraging me to continue praying with others. The last six months have been my best as God walks with me each day. I need to continue to listen to God and what He wants of me. I need to control my actions and emotions so that others can only see the light God has put in me.

Prayer My Lord thank you for this awesome responsibility You have given me. Continue to use me in a way that others can see my love for You. Help me be bold in telling others how awesome You are. Thank you, Lord, for all that You bless me with.
